I've always hated that "pro" athletes can get away with a lot of things that "ordinary" people cannot. The one person that always comes to mind to me is Darryl Strawberry. (I spent most of the 80's in NJ and Philly) How many times did this knucklehead get caught doing various "crimes", including domestic violence and substance abuse, but was allowed to continue playing baseball?
Pro athletes are supposed to be role models to our impressionable youths. They get paid in a year more than most of us will make in a lifetime, yet they show our kids that it's OK to carry guns, use drugs, beat your spouse, etc. There are a few athletes that should be locked up permanently.
