Plaxico makes us Glock owners look like thugs. Let him rot in jail. I've always hated that "pro" athletes can get away with a lot of things that "ordinary" people cannot. The one person that always comes to mind to me is Darryl Strawberry. (I spent most of the 80's in NJ and Philly) How many times did this knucklehead get caught doing various "crimes", including domestic violence and substance abuse, but was allowed to continue playing baseball? Pro athletes are supposed to be role models to our impressionable youths. They get paid in a year more than most of us will make in a lifetime, yet they show our kids that it's OK to carry guns, use drugs, beat your spouse, etc. There are a few athletes that should be locked up permanently. I'm stepping down off my soapbox now.

I just saw that Dick's has 9mm for $7.98 per box when you buy 10 boxes or more. Yes, they seem to be out of stock a lot but you can get a rain check.

In today's paper, Academy Sports had listed Monarch 9mm and CCI Blazer are on sale for $7.99 a box with a 10 box max. Both are not reloadable.

I guess I need to get a P239 to round out that list.

Reloaders Bench for local. I buy local for powder and primers to avoid hazmet fees. If I can't make it to Reloaders Bench, I go to Lock Stock and Barrel or Steve's Gun and Archery. Otherwise I order my bullets straight from the manufacturer. Zero and Berry's

I got my 20 boxes of 9mm today for $174.36 including tax so $8.72 a box. Cool Springs Dicks Sporting Goods was out of 9mm all last week. They got in their delivery today. Earlier this year I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm Wolf from ammoman.com for $169. I think this is a better deal than the Wolf considering it's Remington with brass cartridges.

The postcard in the mail says starting October 26, so when I go in I'm going to have the postcard with me. Maybe it's because the postcard also had 200 bonus points coupon when purchasing hunting items.

They have a sale going on this week on various caliber ammo and shotgun shells. The ad in the paper says $8.98 per box (Remington) for 9mm when you buy 10 boxes, but I received something in the mail yesterday stating $7.98 per box when you buy 10. Check out the ad for pricing. Some things seem like a good deal.
