  1. I like them and feel the same as most.
  2. Use some common sense to keep yourself out of trouble. Make sure to document everything but don't go overboard and start shooting deputies. Also don't let them run over you.
  3. :DCongrats and carry with pride and sense. Good for you!
  4. I would carry as much ammo and grenades as possible for combat missions and tone it down for recons.
  5. Depends on city, county, state and federal regs. The most restrictive apply.
  6. Welcome to TGO.

    .40S&W vs .45ACP

I like the 40 S&W because it is a compromise. It is the only centerfire handgun round I use. The best of both worlds, size and speed. The 40 is put down, in my opinion, because it came after the 10mm not before. If it had came before and people had used it I feel it would be reguarded the same as the 38spl to 357mag but since it came after everyone calls it a weakened round.
  8. Maybe something like a GLOCK in 40 S&W and get the 357SIG barrel, just in case ammo is hard to find or it doesn't work out for you.
  9. Thanks for reminding everyone a Have a Happy 10th Anniversary.
  10. WELCOME from another newbie (old guy).
  11. I use factory 40 in my G23. Recoil does not seem to bother me. I do carry IWB using a crossdraw posiion. The GLOCK fits me well but I don't love it, it is my utility handgun.
  12. Shooting, fishing and a little hunting, playing with computers and generally just goofing off.
  13. Industrial maintenance in the Clarksville area.
  14. I just like to pass stuff on that I do not use anymore.
  15. WELCOME to TGO.
  16. Just a follow up, I have met with RockyTop and Musicman (both nice gentlemen) and divided up the items I had. I hope they enjoy.
  17. WELCOME from Clarksville, TN.
  18. WELCOME, even though you was here before me!
  19. WELCOME
  20. For me: To keep and hold on to things and ways of doing things that work. To conserve something.
  21. Don't know of any places near you. Do an FFL search and pick out your postal code. And WELCOME to you from another newbie here.

    Guns & Leather

It is a very nice place but it was also very busy everytime I have been there.
  23. I checked the Department of Public Safety and read what was needed. I took my class at Second Amendment Gun Shop in Springfield Tennessee ($50), then went to the nearest full service driver license center and submitted my paperwork and $115. They gave me a list of places to be fingerprinted and I called the closest to make an appointment. They fingerprinted me the next day and I had my permit in 3 weeks.
  24. Don't know about types and amounts of ammo but do have fun!
  25. Not just the Clintons, so many of the Presidentl candidates are the type to step on all our rights not just the second, but the second protects the rest.
