  1. Forget it. Cohen is a friend of the Fords.
  2. Ever notice in a room of smokers if none of them are smoking and one lights up within a couple of minutes they are all smoking?
  3. When did they put them up? The last time I was there, the only properly worded sign that I saw was about smoking within 100 feet of the building or some crap like that. As long as you are not going to the gate, no one is going to be putting you through a metal detector and if they do, just make sure you are carrying your Glock 7 that day.
  4. Okay - Shooting a suppressed rifle or handgun in your back yard is not a good idea in a residential neighborhood. If you live out in the country and there are acres between you and the next house I say go for it. Inside the incorporated areas of Cordova is a BAD idea. You never know who might be watching your back yard.
  5. I didn't drink for the first 6 months that I quit smoking. When I did start having beverages again I had no problems not having a smoke. Keep up the good work. As for cravings - years later I still have them.
  6. I want the legislature not to say a danged thing about the signs. As long as they are as vague in the wording of the statute as they are and business owners don't understand it I am happy ignoring their wrongly posted signs. A company that truly doesn't want firearms in their establishment will put up metal detectors or will get the legislators to make it a felony.
  7. I always like the foot prints in the snow/mud etc. The outline on the glass where it is going to break. Firearms always carry more ammunition than they are designed to even with the stended clip. Automatics going "click" when the slide is locked back.
  8. .You can, it is just more likely to get you in trouble with all of the Camera's they have on Beale now.
  9. Notice there wasn't a lot about brother Mikey when he wrecked and then pushed the other car down the track. And when Baby Bush ran in to Little E everyone started off talking about what it was, Shrub's attempt to put E in the wall which he got but didn't get the outcome he wanted and everyone started talking about Shrub getting loose. I didn't see it, but I am not getting paid a lot of money to "keep the peace."
  10. Okay, if my kids and I are in the back yard and I see a poisonous snake, there is a good chance that one of my kids will see it and they are not old enough to know that snakes can hurt them. They think they are big worms and would probably approach it. If I had time, I would get the kids in the house. If I didn't I would kill the snake. Besides - as to this comment as a parent, it is my job to make sure they are safe.
  11. Yeah, but what will you do with you MCDBA?
  12. I have thought that the next computer I purchase for the house will be a MAC. I too have spent years with Microsoft and am currently working on more certifications, but hey, who knows, maybe one day.
  13. I have never killed a snake in TN either, but my dad did in Texas. Nice 3 foot rattler in my neighbors driveway. Why did he do it? There were kids playing in the yard and since we were all little, it was a threat. Ever see what a toddler does with a rattle?
  14. dralarms - can you show me some where in the Tennessee Laws where killing a snake is illegal? Like I said, I looked and there was only one law in reference to snakes.
  15. Are you intending to display, exhibit, handle, or use a poisonous or dangerous snake or reptile in a manner that endangers the life or health of any person? Is it intending to do any of this to you? I don't like snakes. Can't stand them to be precise, but if I can get away from it I don't see a reason to hurt it. Then again, if one was in my back yard there is a good chance that it is going to harm me, my family or my animals. It will not list.
  16. Under Michie - This is the ONLY law I see on the books about Snakes: 39-17-101. Handling snakes so as to endanger life prohibited. — (a) It is an offense for a person to display, exhibit, handle, or use a poisonous or dangerous snake or reptile in a manner that endangers the life or health of any person. ( An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
  17. Is a renewal not the same in regards to the Shall Issue status. Wouldn't they still have to issue it within 90 days (are those business or calendar days) of receipt of the application?
  18. This is basically what mine looks like. Spyderco Endura. They have changed the model, but I think they are an excellent company. Once I had a tip break when I was using it to take up commercial carpet glued to a concrete floor. I called them and they told me to send it back. They couldn't repair it to make it look like new but they did fix it "as best they could" and also sent me an additional one as a trial when they were changing the clip from Plastic to Metal and working on the half serrated blade. Great company....
  19. I used to fancy myself a BMXer. I also Skated. I can't count the number of times I got road rash from one or the other. I wasn't very good but I thought I was.
  20. Wait, do they have the sign that says carrying is against the law? I have been in a few places that only serve beer and the sign is NO WHERE to be seen. I thought there was a distinction between "beer joints" and bars.
  21. That doesn't mean that they don't drink. They just don't do it at the lodge. Just had to use the Death Smiley.

    Vonage

I had Vonage. I HATED it. I would be in the middle of the call and it would drop. This was not an Internet Issue as I had Comcast and the Internet would be working fine. It took them FOREVER to even think about porting my phone number over. I had to set up call forwarding on my existing AT&T account to forward all calls to the Virtual number. They never got it forwarded and I finally said chuck it. When there was a problem with their router I would call and get some one in India named "Bob" and they would always say Reset the router and try again. Fax machines don't like Vonage. 911 Does not work the same. My Alarm system did not work the same or make call ins. Now I have AT&T LOCAL service only with DSL. My alarm works fine. My DirectTV works fine. Personal opinion? Drop Vonage, Drop Long Distance and use your Cell Phone. We frequently have unused minutes on our. Keep a basic land line for your DirecTV, DSL, 911 access.
  23. Wow, this is the reason my wife won't let me get one. When we move to the country she is more likely to allow it. Glad you are okay and since it was an escalade I would imagine they have insurance but at least you have a law suit.
  24. Sounds like what the Grizzlies are going to do to the city of Memphis. They have a contract but with the worst attendance in the league, I can see them going elsewhere to get a bigger fan base. Oh, and then the city will have 3 vacant arena's that we are still paying for.
  25. I too called today. She said to wait until a week or two before I expired and then call back to get "the letter" to carry for 90 days along with the permit. Lessoned learned. Should I still be in TN when the next one expires, I will go 90 days prior to the DMV and pay for the renewal.
