Getting to know each other: What do you look like?
saintsfanbrian replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I bet you are jealous that your dad has more hair. Dope, just realized you are from my neck of the woods. Good job on joining the force. Now move before you actually have to use your training to defend your life on the job. I hear Montana is looking for a few good cops. -
Not sure what part of this fair city you live in, but regardless, the CCW can't "hurt" you. Welcome. Enjoy.

Love the show. I noticed that too as far as the Ravenwood guys carrying Glocks.

Band of Brothers themed Xd, need help

Hey, Just ask Mars, that increased the value of that Glock. I do plan on having some custom grips made the next time I get a 1911 with my kids birthdays on them. -
The problem with him is that he know enough people that when they re-district his area, he gets it done the way he wants. He and King Willie Herenton are a lot alike. I support ANYONE that runs against him conservative or liberal just to get him out of office.

The Springfield Mil Spec series are in the right line of money and I too would probably go that route, but if this is the gun you want to do it on and you have the funds, I say go for it. After all, it's your gun. -
And you thought the folks in Berkeley were wackos...

Placing some one in a cage and holding them against their will is kidnapping and unlawful detention. Go for it hippies. You will be arrested and charged and hopefully found guilty and sentenced to a long jail sentence for this. Hippies are interesting. Everyone is entitled to a point of view as long as it is theirs. -
So many people I know have enjoyed the races at Bristol. I second the ear muffs. NASCAR is LOUD!!!! If you have a favorite driver you can rent one of those scanners that will let you listen in on their communication and block some of the outside noise.

Zen, I noticed, when I was a student there, that the parking lots have signage about firearms. The sidewalks did not. The parking lot is officially school property. The common area over on Central in front of the theater and music building is school property. I could walk down the sidewalk but if I diverted and stayed in that area between those two buildings I would have been breaking the law. The same goes for the buildings along Echles. You can walk her all the way to Walker as long as you do not step off of the street when you get to the other side. The train track area is not Memphis State property. It is owned by the railroad.

The day is getting later and none of my firearms has taken a life.

Where ever it was when I left the house. I will usually pull a cover garment up over it so I have easy access to it in the event of a car jacking. BTW, it is usually about an inch from the seatbelt release (I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt) so I can tell Mr. Badguy hang on while I remove my seatbelt so I can get out of the car.... Again, it would depend on the situation.

That is the official/Legal answer. Last I checked though, you didn't have to check a Drivers License as long as it was an FTF I do not condone breaking the law.

Ever have that dream where you're standing naked on a pyramid while thousands of natives are throwing pickles at you?

Best movie ever - Falling Down.... Watch it, you will understand. Brings new meaning to having a bad day.

I think the basic answer is that if you are not Military or Law Enforcement, it is likely that you have never been in a situation where the need to take another life has been there. And not being in the situation you don't know how YOU will react. We all can posture what we think we would do but greater men than I have frozen in fear in a difficult situation and small children that are afraid of bugs save lives because their mommy or daddy or brother or sister were being hurt. Brawn is great but brains are better.

I thought about it, but then I don't like enough people well enough to want to be around them 24/7. The property thing is a good idea. You could also check out some of the freesteader websites out there.

Just like telling everyone whether or not you carry. It's nobodies business but mine. I decided I would carry a weapon to protect my life and my families life and maybe JUST MAYBE even yours depending on the situation though I won't be rushing to save your life just because "I can." I wrote the check to the US Gov't stating that I would give up my life for them. I didn't but that check also stated I would make someone else give up their life if necessary.

Well, that was a wasted trip to the DOS.

And just yesterday I got an application from the state in the mail to renew mine. I figured I was going to have to go to the states website and download the form. I don't even have to pay for a piece of paper. -
I guess we should ban the sale of Toilet Seats now. They are dangerous.

This is a great story, but I rarely let a business "buy" my way back. I give each place 2 chances. In your case you had the opportunity to give them 2 chances at one shot. The employees at the gun counter had the chance to do the right thing by one of the 4 stopping assisting the blonde and coming to talk to you. At least when they finished one of them should have come and talked to you. You then gave them another chance by talking to an assistant manager. He brushed you off and sent you on your way. In my opinion BPS would have been done on that second occurrence. When I emailed BPS Corporate I would have explained that I am an avid member of the local hunting and shooting community and I will be letting all of my fellow sportsman know about their lack of customer service and will suggest that like me they no longer shop there. A year later I would go back in and see what happened.
