Wow, why doesn't it surprise me that the Political Science majors feel that there should be more gun free zones? The finance major and engineering major are right of course.

I have scoured the entire employee handbook and have not seen ONE MENTION of a WEAPON at all. You do the math. Though it will be much easier in August when I get the kel-tec/ruger.

This is a great story and Dave, the problem with Common Sense is that it isn't very common these days.

I am sorry, but if I am threatened by a person who is larger than me and appears to be able to cause me serious bodily harm with out a weapon I am likely to draw my weapon on them. I also personally know people who are quite smaller than I am that could beat me into oblivion before I knew it. Should I try to go hands on with them because they don't possess a physical weapon other than their hands or feet? This is nuts.... Also, I should carry around O/C spray, impact tools and know karate/boxing before deploying a firearm? TN does not have a duty to retreat clause in their self defense. I know it is my responsibility and will by duty to defend my position but the use of a firearm will be employed if I feel it necessary.

At least the pilot had presence of mind to pull up. I would imagine there are people on that plane that need new underwear. When in doubt hire ex C130 pilots. They aren't afraid to put those things down anywhere.

Most of us probably have a firearm close by in any room. Should something happen we should be able to grab it.

Not to mention many of them have ceramic tile which will help take a bite out of the bullet and if they start shooting at that well you can sneak in to the kitchen and hide behind a fryer.

I'll bring Empanada's Vietnamese Egg Rolls and Chinese Pot Stickers. At least we can be multicultural while we end the days.

Roger that, Mars. The hiding part was really just a nod to some one else that stated the food court would be the worst place. Then again, as I looked around the mall, there was no "real" cover anywhere. The best thing would be to get inside one of the stores and make your way to their emergency exit.

Hey, if we are in a plane that has just crash landed, look for the me shaped hole in the side of the fuselage and come on through. Seriously though, I was at the Galleria this weekend and noticed my self paying even MORE attention to my surroundings then normal. We went to the food court and I tell you, if the shooting happened there, it would be mass confusion. Health department be damned, I'm jumping behind the counter of the Chik-Fil-A. Using it for cover while I wait for the "good guys" aka mall security to come riding up on their Segway's. (are you kidding me?)
