15 states that do not honor the TN HCP
saintsfanbrian replied to cadillacdude1975's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Vermont-No Permit required. -
Yesterday, in broad daylight, a thug kicked in the door of a neighbor of mine. No one was at home but they were able to get in and get out with some jewelry. My wife heard the dogs barking and then the alarm go off. The kids were asleep so she could not go "investigate" with out leaving the yard. She did see the next door neighbor head over and she grabbed her .38 and went and "covered" him from the children's play ground. The police did not show for over 20 minutes. Well after the alarm had stopped sounding. The one good thing about this is that my wife is now convinced to get her carry permit. She is going to have one on or near her at all times in the house. Probably the .38 since she is most comfortable with it and the trigger is heavy enough that little darlings would have a hard time pulling it before she could get it away from them if they managed to get it away from her. Also, I started carrying even more to some places that I previously wouldn't have. Still not where prohibited by law, I just don't go to those places anymore.

You can get one in CA, just not in LA. On another forum that I frequent there are many people from CA that have them. As for the rest of the list. I can't think of a reason to visit any of them so I don't worry about it. If traveling through, well, don't speed, and don't give the officer a reason to want to pull you out of the car if you are speeding. -
Typically it is because you can always find something that you "need" at Wal-Mart and once you have that permit you MUST break it in some how.
-
Used to worry about it, now my wife worries more than I do. I think that is more because of how violent this city has become she doesn't want us targeted by a punk that would shoot us first and take the gun. Seriously though, I just don't worry about it. I try to keep it concealed but if you see the holster clip on my IWB or the barrel of mine when it peeks out from under a shirt when OWB then that is your problem. I am not brandishing and I am not intimidating with it. Howdy sir/ma'am and have a nice day.

I guess it is a right of passage. Get your permit go to Wal-Mart. I went to Bass Pro Shops when I got mine though. Congratulations.

I can't tell you how many people I know that used to live in University Cabana apartments. I also can't tell you how many people I know that would not live there now to save their lives (because they wouldn't be safe.)

Oh wow. Finally some one that won't have to post IANAL when giving opinions about law. Welcome to TGO. How much of a retainer do you need and will you be available at all hours of the day. Criminal or Civil?

Nah, those were taken with a regular Cannon A65 digital camera.

Mars, that was how it was here yesterday and this morning there is about 6 inches on the ground though it is melting off of the streets fast. The kids had fun though.

Well wonders never cease. It actually is snowing in Memphis.

Supposed to start "any minute now" the schools are getting out at noon and my prediction is that the roads will be fine up until about 6 tonight even if it does start.

If the unfortunate happens and Hillary Obama gets elected I have permission to purchase an AR-15 before the end of the year. Otherwise it will be back burnered until more of the debt is paid off.

Watch the trailer you will understand.

Jaypee-18 AND in the Military I don't have a problem giving an HCP to. Then again, I am also for doing away with HCP all together and that if you can legally purchase a firearm you should be allowed to carry when ever and where ever you wish as long as the owner of the property you are on doesn't have a problem with it.

DB - You can contact him. He might be able to work something out for you but the price will be even MORE!!!!

Sorry, don't buy some of it. I don't know if my attacker knows Karate. I don't. They have a distinct advantage over me and could inflict severe bodily harm. If they were to "start something with me and I had no clear means of removing myself from the situation and told them repeatedly in a loud voice to leave me alone and they continued, the displaying of a firearm would probably convince them. If they continued to advance then they are looney tunes and there is no telling what they would do to me. I would be in fear for my life and severe bodily harm.

Personal thought, military personnel should be allowed to get an HCP regardless of age. They have written that check up to and including their life. They should also be allowed to drink (on base)

Sorry Rabbi - I guess I thought that "is a symbolic boundary that allows" meant that it wasn't a physical structure.
-
Not to mention - DON'T TELL THEM WHEN IT IS WRONG. That will only force them to go out and get a proper one!!!! Just quit giving them your money. DirecTV doesn't care if you carry.

This is a prayer that allows you to do things that normally you couldn't right?
