Welcome, I hope you find the liberty that you seek....

I am just glad I had my boots on when I read this one... Aren't delusions of grandeur reason for taking away some ones firearms?

As Chris Rock said, charge $5000 for each bullet and drive bys would stop.

SB3395 and HB3245 Ammunition Accountability Act

My question is how are they going to code the bullet? A stamp on the case? What about people that go around to ranges and re-load. A mark on the bullet itself? How effective will that be if the bullet expands/explodes etc. upon impact? These are ridiculous bills similar to what was introduced in CA of Micro stamping the casing when the bullet is fired. -
The Legislature is back to work in Nashville..

Rather than worrying about what another citizen "might" have done, let us say it is less likely that this individual would have taken this route because there was a greater chance that there were armed individuals in the establishment. People are using the same old scenario's... The streets will run red with blood. Permit holders will shoot the place up when they are drunk. No one needs a gun in there anyway. We all know this to be untrue, unfortunately - 250,000 of us have to convince 6,038,803 (estimated figures) that this would not be the case. -
And this method of appropriating funds is grossly over used in my opinion. We have a wheel tax in Memphis that was supposed to pay to get the schools air conditioned. This was back in the early 80's that it was enacted if I am not mistaken and here we are almost 30 years later and the schools still have to close in some areas if it is too hot out. Not to mention that people that live 3 blocks from me don't have to pay this lovely tax or have their cars inspected but I do. We use the EXACT same roads yet some how their car is "cleaner" than mine..... Oh well. Again, I am all in favor of the government getting the heck out of my life. If I need something I am more than willing to pay for it. Toll roads could be a good thing. Like putting that toll road at the entrance of Memphis from West Memphis and Northern MS. Many people live in these areas and commute to Memphis to work. What are the lovely politicians ideas? Lets charge a tax to everyone who works in Shelby County. Wait a minute, I live here, I shop here, I own property here. Aren't I already paying enough in taxes?

My signature says it all.

And I am sorry, but Auto-Registration is something that I don't particularly agree with anyway. I am a law abiding citizen I shouldn't have to register my car. It is just one more way for the city/state to get taxes. It doesn't really do anything good in my opinion.

Around here they post it. Not to mention most are in schools or churches with schools.

You are almost right here. They can make laws punishing a persons actions but you can never (barring committing everyone to prison) prevent some ones actions. You can only possibly change the way people think about something but that takes years. -
Beale St in Memphis....am I right?

What's wrong about that. She is the only reason we are staying in Memphis. She is 93 and refuses to move or we would have packed up and gone a long time ago. -

When my wife's grandmother passes away I will let you know so you can get the guest room ready!!!! -
Next? She is like that now. Isn't she such a good role model for the kiddies?

This was where I used to work before the place where I worked when we met. Now I work in happy east Memphis at Poplar and Kirby. Still a minor threat but no where near as bad as it used to be.

You got that part right. He should have retired by now but he wants to go out on top. I am afraid he isn't going to get it this year either. I don't like the Patriots or the Pakers but that is who is going to end up in the super bowl so I will watch because it is the last real football game of the season. I would love for them to change the Pro-Bowl to actually have some meaning. Such as the winning conference team gets to host the super bowl in their stadium. Actually give them something to play for other than money because God knows most of them have enough of that.

Rabbi, He played Mark Sway in "The Client" filmed here in Memphis. The kid that found the dead body.

Well, it looks like I actually have a reliable baby sitter now so the wife and I could come out from time to time. Figure out a day of the week and we will go from there.

So in order to protect themselves in a place that already has cops and metal detectors they want armed guards in the chambers but my kids can't get the same protection from me when I take them to or from school. Or when I visit the campus, and I can't get the same protection for my self (by being able to protect myself) when I take a class at the University of Memphis. Remember, there was a shooting there recently and one of America's Most Wanted was captured on campus recently. Thanks, Mr. Finney. I hope we can expect your support for SB0023.

There are many places that serve alcohol that don't serve food primarily. The Bowling Alley, the sports complex, the billiard hall etc. These places also don't primarily server food. By stating that the establishment has to have 50% of their sales from Food limits this type of place. I seriously doubt that a bowling alley really has 50% of their sales from food, but I bet their alcohol is less than 50%.

I would still prefer it to say where less than 50% of revenue is derived from selling alcoholic beverages for ON SITE consumption. -
Does she kiss her momma with that mouth? I would say Bill, but we all know the truth about that.

I am all for that. Outlook contacts and distribution groups are a wonderful thing.
