I sent a similar email to all of my area's reps, Mr. Naifeh, and the committee. I don't figure I will get a response from any of them but hey at least they will know my opinion. I did ask about their wanting an armed Sergeant at Arms in the chambers of a secure building though.

When I worked as a KM for a restaurant I would often see these people on the side of the road. I would tell them that if they would show up at the restaurant on Friday at 7 they could wash dishes for me for the night. I would give them a meal and put $20 in their pocket. No one ever showed. Now I try to stop them before they get too close. If they keep coming I tell them to not take one more step. I always put a hand on my pistol and if necessary will raise my conceal garment to get the point across.. May not be the proper way, but in my mind, once I tell them to stop coming at me that I don't have time for them they are threatening me.

I like Petty - to listen to not to watch. Prince wasn't bad. He, at least, is a true musician unlike Timberlake, Spears, Janet Jackson etc. As for the game - the bogus challenge for too many men on the field was a bit rough but the best TEAM actually did win. It took the entire team to pull it off. The defense was outstanding. Little Manning made some good plays with his arm and alluding defensive players (he made bad ones too) Tyree- Outstanding catch young man. When will Quarterbacks learn to leave their "hot" chicks at home. Giselle Wonderkind did the same for Brady as Jessica Simpson did for Romo. The Pats are not a team they are a bunch of "super stars" and it showed. Oh - and what do you think the dinner conversation is going to be like at the Manning house now- Eli-"So how many years did it take you to get one of these?" Archie-"You boys get squabbling" Peyton - "Sorry,dad, you don't have one, you can't be in this conversation." Funny. Eli beat the Pats easier than Peyton did.

Well, along with the flat tax I would like to get rid of half of the government. The half that is duplicated on the state level.

You are only in to 1863 because you remember it. I am hoping that anniversary/birthday and Christmas this year find a brand new AR in my house along with Ammo and mags but it depends. Using a flat/fair tax allows me the individual to decide how much I want to spend in taxes. It allows the government to collect taxes from people that don't work in industries where taxes are levied against income. Drug dealers/prostitutes/illegals etc. would all be paying their fair share of taxes every time they make a purchase of goods. Having an income tax only taxes those of us that do things by the book. Wesley Snipes-Multimillionaire skips out on paying his taxes and then uses it to help further the cause of the IRS being racist or some crap. Giving me more money in my paycheck will stimulate me to spend more instead of hindering my ability to purchase the things I would like because I don't have any "left over" money after income tax/social security and bills/savings are paid.

We are only staying in this part of the state (or this state for that matter) until my wife's grandmother moves in with us or passes away. She won't leave her home and comfort zone though.

Well, you better do it quick. Just leave the guns at home because they don't recognize other state permits.

This exemplifies the reason we need a fair/flat tax on products and services purchased as opposed to an income tax.

Nate, So if McCain wins the nod - will you vote for Ron Paul or another independent that has 0 chance of winning just to snub your nose? This is the reason that King Willie Herenton is in office in the first place in Memphis. A 3rd party candidate with no chance of winning got the young peoples vote because they didn't want to vote for "the man." Now things here suck beyond all get out and there is no real chance of them getting better. If the rest of the state were smart, they would force Memphis to secede from the state.

This is clearly a violation of Free Speech and the Marines haven't said a word. Last time I checked there was NO ONE holding a gun to ANYONE'S head when they entered a recruiting station. This is ridiculous an should be stopped. Can the Code Pink people protest? Sure, that is guaranteed by the first amendment. Should they be given special treatment with free permits and parking spaces in which to do it? Nope. I guess there are no ex-Marines living in Berkley. (This Anderson Fellow was clearly a draftee that was able to get out.) One more reason to stay out of that state.
