  1. Work was canceled today. Have had lots of rain so far. Still have power so I am thankful for that. The wind has been picking up as the day goes on.
  2. I have my eye on one of these as well. Still trying to decide if I want it or not. Also have to wait til it gets approved for the MD handgun roster.
  3. I can't carry here in MD anyway but my thinking was more for a BUG not for EDC.

    Ankle Carry

If you are carrying a BUG via ankle carry, is it better to have it positioned outside ankle of your strong side or inside ankle of your weak side? Is one better than the other? Not that I can carry but it was something I was thinking about while bored at work.

    Ruger 22/45 lite

I have one and I like it. Haven't had any issues with it.
  6. Wonder where he got that 30 round "clip"? I haven't seen any with that capacity.
  7. LMAO... gotta love the little ones.
  8. Looks like the gunman only shot one person. The rest were wounded by the police trying to take out the bad guy.
  9. I am a fan of the IOR scopes. I like the low profile large elevation knob. 10 mil per turn. I run stictly MIL/MIL scopes. It saves on any calculations when shooting UKD targets.
  10. I have enjoyed this show from the beginning. It gets better and better as it goes. I was completely shocked with the ending of the last episode. WOW!
  11. I first pick a bullet that is suited for what I am going to use the rifle for. Example: I just picked up a Rem 700 AAC in .308 for rifle competitions. Since it has a 1-10 twist I opted for the 175gr Sierra Match Kings. I check a couple of different loading manuals for the min and max load for the chosen powder. In this case it is Varget. I load 10 rounds at a middle weight. These are used just to get me on paper (if you haven't sighted in your rifle yet) Then I use the OCW test to find the right load for that barrel/action combintation. All rifles are different and may/may not shoot the same loads identically. I start at the low end and load up 5 rounds with that weight. Then the next 5 rounds are loaded at .3grs more and so on until you get close to max. I shoot them round robin at dot targets for each weight. Once you find the node that is all in the same general area you have found your load. You can then play with seating depth to tighten up the groups.
  12. What do you use for targets? I would suggest shoot and see. .223 at 200 yards is going to be hard to see with a cheap scope.
  13. I have yet moved to Tenn but I come here almost daily to see all that is going on.
  14. You focued your rifle correctly. Once that is set you shouldn't have to mess with it again. For the parallax, set your crosshairs on the target and adjust the parallax until the target is in focus. Don't worry about the numbers since everyones eyes are different. Once the target is clear. Move your head just slightly from side to side. If your crosshairs don't seem to shift when you move then your parallax is set correctly.
  15. But on the other hand it is a long way from any major metro area so the zombie population should small and easy to eridacate.
  16. I like the silo. I would be interested in seeing more specs and pics of the inside.
  17. I have an R1 Enhanced and an R1 Limited Edition 2 tone. The Enhanced shot better groups than the Limited. I am very happy with it.
  18. Out of the box it is going to be hard to beat a Remington 700 R5 for accuracy.
  19. That was a good movie but I think my favorite Costner movie was Mr. Brooks.
  20. Congrats to you and your extended family.
  21. I have four years and two months (not that I am counting) left here in MD unless I hit the jackpot between now and then. I can't wait to get out of here and move to Tenn. I already have my piece of land in Signal Mountain.
  22. Definitely check out the Bar Harbor area, Old Orchard Beach and Kittery Outlets. The ride up Route 1 thru all the coastal villages is photo opportunity galore. Other than that it is all pine trees. Maine is a great place to be FROM. I should know I was born and raised there.
