  1. Park police are police officers. In fact they are a special designation within metro police. They go to the same academy, same POST certification, etc. He didn't have to "play up to" the "big boys". That being said it sounded like all 3 were equally bored this particular evening. In Hendersonville the Park Police are a separate entity, but are still POST certified, same authority etc.
  2. You did the right thing. If more of us watch out for one another we would be a lot better off. It's a shame, most of us probably don't even know our neighbors names unless it's on their mailbox.
  3. welcome. As far as your quest for 1911's Rock River/Armscor have great reps and you can get them under $400. Here is one great deal http://www.centerfiresystems.com/AC-RI1911.aspx http://www.centerfiresystems.com/AC-RI1911TAC.aspx
  4. I like the wood better. Nice call.

    How many Masons?

Those are based on Catholic tradition of the use of the term "religion". However, the Bible (which predates Mr. Webster by a few years;)) says true religion is taking care of widows and orphans.....Period!
  6. That's why I said southern. The only good things in Kali are in the north.... minus Sacramento and San Fran.
  7. I think we need to send in Snake Plissken and then make southern Kali a prison colony...... or missile test range!
  8. If that's the way you want it, I'll let it be. Just seems a little silly to me though. BTW - He wouldn't say much about happened with him and TGO. He's a pretty stand-up guy. Just seems a shame.

  10. I too have them for every caliber I own. I like them for right after the range so I can quick clean the barrel before I carry it.
  11. I use the Gun Blast Polymer Safe stuff on all my new guns. If I remember right I usually blow a lot of junk out of the firing pin channel. I like using the Jig-a-loo dry spray lube on things like the mags. It goes on dry won't gather debris but stays slick. Kinda like a dry version of WD-40 and it's cheap.
  12. I truly believe that in general the government has good intentions but have a serious lack of wisdom into the unintended consequences of their actions and the abuse they open up- ala mortgage crisis, bailouts, welfare, Great Society, UN/League of Nations, ect. You know the saying, the road to hell is paved with good intentions or in the words of AC/DC "we're on a highway to hell!"

These are circular arguments at best. Deerslayer is correct. Pike said what he said and you can keep saying that the words he used have different definitions than they do, but it won't change the intent. Masonry and Pike's intent are clear IMO, which is why I posted what I did earlier. While you obviously see it differently, the fact remains these are the base theological tenants and practices.

    MBR?

You can always get a Saiga in 7.62x39 ($400-$500) and convert it pretty easily. Then you will have the best AK on th market at a decent price IMO.

    How many Masons?

The problem with "secret" society stuff is you get the extremes from oblivious supporters to too tight tin foil conspiracy theorist. I have heard and read a lot on the Mason's and here is what I've concluded. Although not a "religion" per se, it is similar in that I completely and whole heartedly disagree with the fundamental practices and theology. However, most Masrons, like "religious" folks subscribe for a myriad of reasons and most aren't strickt fundamentalist or even probably know the full foundational principles and practices. Arguing the point is like trying to tack jello to the wall. It just ends in frustration and a mess.
  16. funny shirts there. I used to have one, when rafted and canoed a lot, that said, "Raft naked, it'll add color to your cheeks." On side note, all this talk has got me missing my canoing days in Arkansas. now I need to get a normal job with weekends and vacation time so I can go!
  17. There's no helping you 44m. Maybe you should quit going to Tune's classes. The crazy must be rubbing off on you.
  18. I've got some rats that'll give you a little more meat you can have!
  19. In high school a couple of my friends got his dad's "Police" jacket and blue light and was pulling people over giving "warnings". It was big fun till his dad found out.
  20. Just don't use it at all! To each his own, but to me it amounts to an argument that doesn't exist.
  21. What happened to the days when a muscle car was one you could work under the hood without a computer and the equivalent of a home loan? Still wish I had that 69 Camaro SS i almost bought in high school.

Try a search, as there were some pretty extensive threads and discussions on the topic.

    My New Avatar?

They all have meaning, It's just a matter of if it is significant or trivial. For instance the Mighty Mouse my friend got means he's a dork!
  24. ...but what does it say about the people in Massachusetts that keep electing this guy! I mean, regardless of politics this guy is the antithesis of a "good"politician. He doesn't have looks, can't speak, sounds like he's hooked on phonics and not doing well, can't even lie well, and yet people elected him? I just don't get it.
