I have owned a hi point handgun in .380. And in my opinion, i would never ever use it as a carry piece unless it is a last resort. The one i had would jam at least once in every two or three magazine. I would prefer something more reliable than a hi point as a carry piece.

I see where you're getting at. It certainly is not old school country kinda country. There's alot of rock/pop mixed in the music today.

Is anyone watching the academy country music awards? Before George Straight got on to perform, Jamie Fox introduced him and while Fox was doing so, he was talking about how great the messiah is and how things have changed. Praising the messiah Fox said, "a black man is now running the country, y'all give it up for him." I believe that Jamie Fox is a good actor. I have nothing against his work in the acting industry. He is very talented. However, i believe it is irrational and very disrespectful to be talking about politics and his political stance during the country music award. Perhaps that is why Tim Mcgraw pulled out of performing at the last moment. Mcgraw said he had "major disagreement" with the shows producer. Just my thoughts. Does anyone else listen to country? What are your thoughts about mixing politics and music?

Why attract the extra attention and possibly have the police involved? Remember if someone who is incompetent about firearms sees you with a gun, he or she may freak and call the cops on you. You may have a handgun carry permit issued to you, but that does not prevent the the cops from harassing you if they responded to a call. That will take away your valuable time. In my opinion, i would keep it concealed. No one needs to know that i am packing but me and of course a law enforcement officer if he or she ask to see my permit. Also, think about how beneficial the element of surprise would be if you needed to use your firearm.

Okay i will give my input. YES, YES, and YES always have one in the chamber. A gun is useless as a firearm without one in the hole ready to go. This is NOT Hollywood where you have time to draw your gun and make that lovely 'racking the slide' sound so that everyone can know that you mean business . I mean hell, if you were trying to conceive would you want your little johnny pecker to be shooting blanks? I think not! Okay.....maybe that was not that good of an analogy
