  1. I moved this to general chat.
  2. This is spot on. My @Grand Torinoknife collection alone lined up gets me well out of Knoxville area. Lol. I seem to have a hoarding problem with knives, guns and amateur radios and antennas. I would add read a lot about knives, watch videos, and talk to the local guys and hear what they have to say. In the end it still comes down to what you like and makes you happy. If it brings a smile to your face then it's fair game.
  3. Welcome to TGO
  4. Definitely need outdoors. I took both of my daughters camping and boating, by myself, when they were still in diapers. They are 32 and 27 now and both still talk about very specific moments from the camping we did. No grandkids at this time but if that ever happens then I'll be dragging them out and about.
  5. That is great you are still able to go and enjoy. Your grandson will never forget the trips. My granddad took me camping, by ourselves, from the time I was able to walk. Those memories are priceless. Of course I give him all the credit for putting the love of camping, the water, and the great outdoors in me. I've camped in all 48 states and Hawaii. Alaska is on the bucket list hopefully next year. I can't wait to make that drive. Enjoy your trip.
  6. Our current setup in the Outer Banks of NC. I've camped in everything from tents under the stars, tents, tag along trailers , fifth wheels and Class A motorhomes. The ease of setup with our diesel pusher and flat towing the Jeep makes it great at this stage of our life. I wouldn't take anything for the experience in all of them. The only thing I know is time is not waiting, if you want to try something, do it now. Stay within a budget and no matter how much you spend, staying on top of maintenance is king.
  7. Dang vacation. I missed this one. Lol. But I was getting pictures of horses and a bear in the Outer Banks.
  8. I did the same. Was glad for slow shipping as we are out of town right now. Lol
  9. Welcome to TGO
  10. I had to go look, mine is a MaxxHaul brand and has a 500 pound limit.
  11. Well this is interesting. Not sure about a screen on my pistol. https://youtube.com/shorts/tPxsq1duNts?si=voV2m1Q4JxcUQKXT
  12. I have one I use occasionally. Made from aluminum. Not sure where I got it but it has worked great and I have had zero issues. I've never loaded it past the weight rating.
