  1. That was a hoot! Thanks!
  2. I'm not. I just wanted to see how many of the "Ignore the signs if'n they ain't legal" guys, or the "I'd go talk to the owner" guys, would chime-up.
  3. That's good.
  4. Geez! Another thing that we need the legislature address. In Missouri, where I'm from, it was darn near Marquess of Queensberry rules when killing coyotes. No wonder their population is out of control.
  5. No centerfire rifle cartridges? WTF are you supposed to use...a sling-shot?
  6. IMHO, instinctive shooting can't be beat at close range if it is developed with faithful practice.
  7. Yes, but did you do it at an abortion clinic? This incident was at an abortion clinic. I can see why the guy got a bit tense.
  8. How about that dip- Liberal on Facebook who said that you don't need a gun, and that all you need is to be more aware of your surroundings?
  9. Aww, the Crazy Monkey style of Kung-Fu! That'll work!
  10. The "real" one: City Hall and Police Department.
  11. Where I was a police officer we purchased our own weapons, uniforms, leather, etc, so the taxpayer didn't own squat. The officer who bought the MP5 that I shot spent nowhere near $15k: however, this was around 1992 that he bought it. If I recall it was under $2k, (gotta love Bush Sr.). If I were rich enough to own one then I wouldn't be concerned with how much it cost to shoot it. That would be like buying a Lamborghini and complaining about how much it cost for gas and insurance.
  12. I hear ya. I know a guy on my Shelby forum that has a gun room you wouldn't believe. The picture that he posted of the room looked like it was as big as my livingroom. It was stuffed with guns of all sorts, and I mean display quality. The said that he had several MP5's but the butt-hole wouldn't part with one.
  13. I guess where I'm coming from is that I shot an MP5 when I was a police officer, and, (understanding that I've never shot one of these), I would think shooting one of these would be like having sex without the orgasm. The MP5 is my favorite "fun gun" of the metallic kind. I wish I were rich to hunt one down and acquire it.
  14. Not to stir up the poo, but why would you want one? Seriously, I don't get it.
  15. So where's all the "If the sign ain't legal then carry anyway" folks, or the "I'd tell them immediately" folks? I don't understand?
  16. I think you heard wrong. I was next door two weekends ago to ship a package, and the place looked open to me. I don't like the place, so I gotta admit that I didn't look too close and could be wrong. EDIT: I stand corrected. I just checked with my wife who works in the area, and she said that Lenny's in Smyrna is closed. She said what I saw was activity near their door. So much for my situational awareness.
  17. My friend at 6 months old in September already at 53 lbs:
  18. FYI: There's still a Lenny's in Smyrna, and they still suck.
  19. I don't even like toy guns aimed at me, so that wasn't an option.
  20. I'm seriously asking all the "If the sign ain't legal then I'm ignoring it" people, and those who like to point out such distinctions to business owners who have posted improperly.
  21. But don't you think that cultivates the "We are above the law" mentality?
  22. Mike: I was a police officer for 5.5 years and I've never heard of this "list". What is it?
  23. Do you think that I should advise them of proper signage like some on this forum do?
