  1. you can't fool us, you are carrying that firearm on your right side away from the mirror.......we know how you are.......
  2. great holster, the longer you wear it the more it will contour to your body. you will then hardly remember its there. I love mine, both my XD subbie and XD 4" will fit it so I have 1 holster and can carry either firearm. Thinking about one for the 1911
  3. this is a good thread. most of us probably practice shooting in the regular light of day, however, I would think most "incidents" would/will occur at night. So why not practice shooting in the dark or with extremely shaded glasses? This one has got me thinking......
  4. and all the people said "AMEN!"
  5. disassembled it tonight for cleaning, firing pin spring shot out the slide, spent two hours looking for it, not very many parts to this one.
  6. already had it to the range, believe it or not----flawless!
  7. this is one of those throw away guns. shoot it several times then throw it away. Box of ammo cost more than the gun!!
  8. Picked this one up for $25, it goes bang.... http://i481.photobucket.com/albums/rr180/ftncityfatboy/25caliberRaven003.jpg .25 caliber, Raven Arms Model, slightly used......
  9. trying to post from youtube.....
  10. first beer i ever drank was a pbr, i was such a light weight 1/2 of it got me buzzing (back in the early 70's). drank just about everything around bier wise, went to Orleans and both stuff you couldn't get east of the Mississippi. Now days, its Icehouse, natty lite, or my infamous homemade wheats & ales:cheers:. As for wine, a good mellow red, Merlot, Valpolcello, Shiraz - all homemade of course. I like a little Crown from time to time, friend just game me a gallon of George Dickel which is ok. probably my day to day is Old Charter Reserve, yummy.........
  11. the penalty is ugly inbred children.....
  12. that's at the corner of norris freeway right?
  13. Obviously you still have business here to complete. Find out what it is and make it count. Don't ever forget who got you here from start to finish. All others were just support group. These are the stories that bring tears to your eyes. This is great news and it has made my tiresome day seem......less tiresome! All is right with the world...... And all the peoples said--------"AMEN!"
  14. welcome from a fellow knoxvillian. best way to meet more people is to go to the shoots. one is planned for the 30th, read about it in the "Events" thread. Some of us shoot at coal creek, norris, and/or TWRA range on Rifle Range Road. PM us for a get together. Post often and stay late!!!!
  15. Kewl, I've got your # so's I'll give you a jingle closer time to the event.
  16. that's why you should start reloading, then you could shoot for even cheaper!!!!
  17. thought the show was ok, I got there at 8:45 and there were about 50 people or less waiting to get in. But the crowd picked up. Gun prices were high, I did pickup some reloading supplies. Pissed a vendor off when I slightly moved his counter by accident. I was looking to trade in a .38 spl and provide cash difference for a Sig P238 but after the snafu - there went that deal. Oh well, just as well. Any gun show is a good gun show, if for nothing else just the walking exercise.
  18. I have found when planning such an event, like many have stated, everyone bring what they want to eat. We have done this for church gatherings and when everyone arrives, just put all the food together for one big pot luck. Always works out and always have plenty of food. I'm up for this one, 30th sounds great. Suntzu, OhShoot, Mike.357, anybody got room for an extra? I'm in the Ftn City area which happens to be right on the way........
  19. left the house today for the first time in forever without firearm. Yes it was uncomfortable and yes I kept thinking about it.
  20. Young Frankenstein Dr. Frankenstein: "Igor, help me with the bags" Igor: "Sure doctor, you get the blonde and I'll get the one in the turbin" Dr Frankenstein: "Didn't that hump used to be over there" Igor: "What hump?" Major Payne Major: "Hello Betty!" Major to young boy: "You want me to tell you about the little engine that could?" "TOOT, TOOT"
  21. thanks, I will make sure I keep it locked up and unable to defend myself against predators lurking off 5th Ave.......
  22. the down side is you don't get to haggle with the dealers at the shows about their high priced C&R guns. Instead, you get to haggle with your UPS driver about whether he wants to be tackled at the street or in your yard. I got my license and have made one purchase. saved $40 thus paying for the cost of license.
  23. welcome from over the ridge in knoxville. post often and stay late!
  24. Ok, I know this has been ask before on this forum, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Since the guns in parks law went into affect, can you carry at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville (not talking about the gun shows but the park in general). Having a class reunion there and want to make sure the legality of it. Thanks for helping the lazy fatboy out.
