my membership has run out and I have yet to renew. I do miss getting together with the usuals for shoots. Guess I will have to reup so I can get up there more often. Work during the week makes it impossible to go then so I must get my gun thrills on the weekends. I still have yet to shoot my Mosin, something must be wrong with me......

well it finally happened. I was driving down Adair in Knoxville, knowing LE likes to sit in Lynnhurst Cemetery and shoot radar, driving along when suddenly I remembered "slow down, this is Adair". Too late, saw MR. LEO pulling from the Cemetery and I knew I had been nabbed. I pulled into the Food City parking lot, and was fumbling for my wallet when MR. LEO approached my car and with hand on firearm (probably cause I was fumbling for my wallet). After retrieving my wallet, I handed him my DL and HCP with the HCP facing up for immediate viewing. He ask if I had my firearm on me to which I replied it was holstered. He said just don't go near it and all would be ok. He takes all my info and retreats to his car to write the ever popular ticket. He did not however take my firearm when he retreated. I was somewhat surprised he let me keep it on me, seems he would have taken possession of it just in case I had decided to go crazy. But all went well, we joked about them sitting in the cemetery shooting radar and he told me to be safe as I went my merry way. He was a very polite young man, pleasant, and very professional. So guys, this was one LEO that didn't let someone go because they were carrying their HCP. That doesn't always work. Maybe he hadn't made his quota for the day.

I primed and painted the block wall I stucco'd for my dad last week. After trying to get several masons/concrete guys to do job (none showing up but all expressed interest in job) I decided to tackle it myself. Stucco part was easier than I expected, the painting was a breeze since that's my primary source of income now. After that, I loaded some 9MM brass into the tumbler for cleaning, checked out my newly bottled homebrew to see if it was ready (and its not, needs to age some more). Now I'm piddling on the computer and decided to check the forum out since I have been slacking on that lately. How about the "Electric Football" set. Plug the thing in, take the plastic men, line them up, turn it on, field vibrates, the man with the felt football vibrated down the field, if opposing team player touched him he was down. I still have that one. Tabletop hockey set, metal men on sliding metal rods, twist them to move, goalie moved, wished I still had that one. Real rawhide whips, homemade bow/arrow, geezz, by todays standard most us over 50 should have been dead by now, we even drank out of the water hose and even after the kid next door drank from it and dropped it in the dirt. And I know no one played with the Easy Bake Oven........

I use Aquaphor - its best know for use on diaper rash. the a/d oinkment or triple antibiotic stuff made me break out terribly bad and had to get antibiotic from doc. Ask my artist on next visit and he recommended the Aquaphor.

Don't rule out the XD40sc just yet. Remember, those rental guns take a lot of abuse and have probably been in the showcase for quite some time. I own the XD9sc and have never had an issue with it nor with my 4" springer service model. You will take better care of your gun than they most likely take care of the rentals. Those rentals most likely don't get cleaned after ever shooter finishes with them, you on the other hand will most likely clean your gun after each trip to the range. I am very fond of Springfields....

Picked up some AA #9 at Knoxville Gun Show, made some reloads, 12.2 grains with 158 grain LSWC.....tight groupings, shells released VERY easy from their chambers. I did use mag primers, I'll try some w/o the mag primers. Thanks for all the help!!!

bumble bee's live in swarms, carpenter bee's don't - they are not social insects. AND cb's don't sting like BB's. If you have some WD40 laying around, spray a little into the hole and that will kill them almost instantly. Fill the hole with wood putty or latex caulk (if wood is painted). They can/will destroy lumber in no time. If problem continues, consult your local pest control dude. I am not a pest control man, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night.......
