I have a g26, but I am always carrying the g19 and extra ammo. I have learned alot. This will not happen again.

Different kids activities and schools. We have games/ meetings, and sometimes we go to dinner afterwards if time allows. With the change of season it is usually dark and late when we get home.

I hope that your wife gets well soon. I know that my wife is dog tired, but you know how they are about the kids. She will not miss a moment of anything that they are involved in.

You make a very good point. I think that the issue is that I am delaying her with something that she could care less about. We both have very long days with work and kids activities, so my toys mean nothing to her when she is tired/sleepy.

I knew the married guys would know where I was coming from. I know she means me no harm. She knows that I will protect her with or without a weapon. Hell, until that picture thread I thought that I was one of the biggest guys in the state.

After more than 20 years together and three kids everything that I do bothers her.

She does not like guns. She goes to the gym in the dark at 5am and acts like crime is something that happens to someone else. I just don't want anything to happen that could have been prevented. When I am not home the kids have to beg her to at least keep the keys to the safe nearby. The shotgun is no good if the thief has access to the safe key and you don't. I have gotten the kids trained and try to have them practice a couple times a month, but the wife won't train or let me train her. She has never been a victim and has no real safety concerns.

My wife has made it very clear that my life, her life or the lives of our children mean nothing to her ( my opinion). Last monday while visiting a carry prohibited location with my family I had to lock my pistol in the car safe until we left. After departing the location we stopped for gas. After filling up I decided to retrieve my pistol ( I know, I should have done that before pumping the gas). While I am attempting to get my pistol from the safe the wife starts ranting about how long I am taking because she is sleepy and wants to get home. I tell her that I am getting the pistol so that I can protect us if there is a problem on the way home. My wife then states " I don't care about that, I am sleepy". So I get pissed and we have a long silent ride home. Yesturday while getting into my car to go back to that same location my wife reminds me that we need to stop at the atm. At that point I remember that in a rush I walked out of the house unarmed. I put the car in park to go back into the house and I get this look from my wife like I just crapped my pants. I explain to her that I have to go back into the house to get my pistol and once again she lets me know that she does not care about that, but if I wanted it I should go back inside to get my gun. It took me about five minutes of riding in silence before I could speak to her. She just does not understand how dangerous the streets are and how important it is to me that I protect my family. I have decided that I will not talk to her anymore about safety and security. She will simply get the benefits of my protection and enjoy it in ignorant bliss.

Yeah, that's what America is about doing bad things to people that you have minor disagreements with on the internet. I thought that the libs were supposed to be ultra sensitve.
