  1. That was too funny! I could actually picture that happening.
  2. They wanted just under $1500 for the TRP (3 in stock). Had they offered a little more for my pistols I would have paid the difference and purchased the TRP. I have no problem with businesses making a profit, but after all the weapons that I have purchased from these guys at jacked up prices I am fed up. I will find my gun online and have it transfered to Range USA from now on. It's not just me. They low balled some other guy on his shotgun while I was standing there. I want a gun shop that makes me feel good when I walk thru the door especially after I have spent thousands of dollars with them. They should know that I am a buyer and I should be treated accordingly.
  3. I believe they only allow pistol and rimfire ammo. I have shot my 15-22 out there a couple of times. Criss is a decent guy. The young guy ( I don't know his name can be a little short sometimes), and the the range is not well lit. What I like about the place is during the week it's almost like having your own private range. Nobody is there on weekdays. I guess they do alot of training on the weekends.

    Glock 19C

There was a 19c available when I purchased my g19. I left it in the store because I was concerned about the extra noise/flash. I don't think that the g19 needs to be comped. The g19 is already smooth as buttah.
  5. I was thinking about trading my g36 or M&P fs45. I think that I would rather keep them and just pay cash for my new gun. I expect to take some loss on a sale or trade, but I don't want to be ripped off especially after I over paid for it during "The Great Obama Scare". That was a good price on your mil-spec. What were they selling the loaded models for? I may drive to Jackson if they have decent prices. Does the GOS have a website?
  6. I saw the 522 today. I know that the M&P is composite, but the 522 looked really big and fake. I like my choice of the M&P.
  7. All of my problems with this rifle stopped when I started using CCI mini-mags.
  8. I would like some pictures. Thanks. I can see one of those on my M&P. I got a quote of $95 to put a flash hider on my 15-22. That may be the route that I take.
  9. Please tell me where to find the SA 1911 for under a grand. I went to five shops today including one in MS and could not find a loaded for under a grand. Not only that, most of the SA 1911 pistols that I saw were priced similar to the Kimber pistols which pushed the Kimber pistols further up my list. I wanted to do a trade +cash, but they tried to steal my trade so I left(no, I did not expect to get what I paid...not even close). I will have the money to purchase out right in a few weeks and I will buy from Buds or someone else online. This bs.
  10. Chip was a great instructor and he made the class informative and fun.
  11. Wasn't there a recent change in the law that allows a permit holder to transport loaded rifles and shotguns in their vehicles?
  12. +1 for Range USA. I took the defensive handgun class there and loved the training, people and facility. I wanted to do the carbine class last saturday, but not enough people signed up. I thought that I was the only person who felt that I was walking amongst the gods while visiting Rangemaster. I was there for a purchase and they turned me off so much that I did not even consider shooting or training there.
  13. I have had two for a couple of years now, but I never use them. I have one in the car and the other is waiting for my wife, but she won't carry. I have very few situations where I have to leave my weapon in the car. It's nice to have it if I need it.
  14. I like the idea of the Kimber Crimson Carry, but I don't think that it is 5 inches. I have the CTC laser grips on four of my guns and that's always a plus when I make a purchase.
  15. Thanks for the info. I have seen several Kimbers, but I have yes to decide on a model. I know for certain that I like the SA loaded black stainless 1911. I am saving money to make a purchase soon unless I find a 6.8 flat top upper that I like first.
  16. Hi, I would like to know the average prices paid for stainless steel 5" Kimber and Springfield Armory 1911s in Tennessee. Thanks for any input.
  17. You lost your mind when you asked that question. Just kidding. Never would I make that trade. Do what I have decided to do. Keep your old guns and save for the new gun. It is hard to be patient, but it beats the remorse of getting rid of a gun that you like. I was looking to trade almost all of my guns for a motorcycle last year. I am glad no one took me up on it.
  18. G19! I have the g19, g36, g26, M&P9, M&P45. I choose the g19 over any of them any day. I purchased the g19 one day, took it home, cleaned it then shot a defensive trainging class the following day. Best shooter that I have every used. I like my other guns, but when it is time to leave the house I take the g19, knife, surefire light, spare mag and I am good to go.
  19. Saving for one now. I have been wanting to trade one of my M&P or Glock pistols, but I find myself too emotionally attached to them.
  20. Congrats to you and your brother. It must be nice to be able to barter with your gun dealer. My former dealer always treated me like crap (10 gun purchases). They always had a take it or leave attitude. I guess I was a glutton for punishment. I hope that you and your brother enjoy many years of shooting.
  21. I like the loaded. I am saving my money for the SA loaded or 6.8 upper for my AR. I will decide in a couple of weeks.
