  1. I can't believe that I don't have one A DVR is definately on my wish list.
  2. Yep. I've got a tripod stand in the trees behind my house and a couple of old 3D targets that I like to shoot. I haven't shot it in a couple of months, so I need to get back on it soon. I also want to get out sometime this summer and hunt some hogs with my bow. I think I'll combine whatever hog hunting I get to do with a little scouting for early season whitetails. Can't wait for the season to start.
  3. That's true, and I see your point. I just think that a restaurant has many more, actual liabilty issues lurking around every corner. Choking, falls, alcohol abuse, drinking alcohol while on prescription meds, parking lot issues, etc... If this suit is successful, and the law is crushed before it ever gets started, will these plaintiffs be liable? Say on July 15, someone gets robbed/shot at the whatever restaurant that would have allowed carry. Would the plaintiffs of this lawsuit be liable for preventing a law that was overwhelmigly passed by the legislature from taking effect? Seems like at some point there are just inherent risks that must be tolerated, otherwise the liability is endless.
  4. I agree, I think some good things could come out of this as long as the judge uses good wisdom and logic on July 13. If we prevail, it will strenghten our position. I think they are overplaying the liability issue. I know anyone can be sued for just about anything, but i am still trying to wrap my brain around how they could actually be held liable for complying with state law. If an injury occurs, seems like they could just say "State law allows HCP holders in my restaurant". I see it similar to someone injuring me with their car in the parking lot. The state allows that person to have a driver's license and drive. I wonder why the restaurant doesn't post "No Cars" signs (well, I know the answer - $$$). After all, that is a very real and possible injury scenario campared to the HCP/gun issue. Unless it related to the design of the parking lot/signage/cross walk/etc., I don't see how the property owner could be held liable for the actions of the driver.
  5. I don't get it why the restaurant would be liable for allowing a state law to be in effect on their property. The state allows it by law should be their defense if needed. Seems like if they were so concerned about liabilty they would be cutting everyone's food into tiny little bits and demanding everyone chews each bite 50 times. The liability issue seems like a made-up excuse to me. Why not ban all cars from the parking lot - after all, they can't ensure that all drivers are prperly licensed and tags are current. Or, no cell phones in the parking lot - someone might text while driving! Bunch of loons, they are.
  6. It still amazes me how liberal judges can legislate from the bench and effectively undo what House/Senate committees and constituents have asked for. I mean, by this logic, why couldn't someone sue to eliminate the HCP, taxes, speed limits, hunting laws or any other law? Maybe we should sue to eliminate their ability to post a location... However, I do not want to judge this judge prematurely. She may in fact uphold the law and dismiss this frivolous attempt to circumvent the system. I agree that an injunction is very possible, but I hope she will see through their stupidly. I think she is a smart lady that will side with us and the legislature.
  7. I'm sure that weighed too heavy on thier consciences. They know they are wrong, but they have a liberal agenda. Those are very good and valid questions. Maybe I'll join their group and ask the same questions. See how fast I can get booted...
  8. Anyone familiar with Tapco? All else being equal, would a Tapco 6-position collapsable AR15 stock be a better choice than the UTG 6-position stock? I don't have any experience with either brand. Both come with the buffer tube and spring, etc. I know that the Tapco is just a little more, but does that make it better?
  9. I agree. I think the judge will just say, "Nobody is forcing you to allow legal guns in your restaurant, so why are you here?" This has the potential to really backfire on the anti-gunners.
  10. No. I had a stripped lower, and I picked up a DPMS LPK. I have the grip but no stock or buffer tube.
  11. Good to hear. I think I might give the stock a try for $40. For that price, I could always replace it later if it feels cheap. I might get one of their bipods after I get the upper.
  12. I still need a complete upper and a collapsable stock for my AR build. Has anyone used a UTG stock? They are cheap, but does it show? Any opinions... UTG M4 Stock Set I'll have to wait a couple of months before I can get serious about looking for the upper
  13. I will not violate an injuction or posted places, but I will be a richer man because of it. Those people will not see any of my money if they are succesful with this suit - I'm ready (pretty much have already) to give up Outback, O'Charley's, you name it. I always carry, so the whole of the restaurants that serve alcohol will suffer the loss of my money because of the actions of the few involved with the lawsuit. I don't drink, so it's only the food that interests me; and it can still be found without these idiots. My grill sees a lot of activity, though. And I don't have to leave a tip...
  14. Every one of those points has failed logic. A lot of their arguments are not even specific to restaurants/bars but to the HCP in genneral (kid going through mommy's purse...) Maybe we should do a Facebook with talking points about vigillante restaurant owners that spin the truth for personal gain at the expense of others. How many people have they killed by serving them alcohol? They just don't care about public safety
  15. I wonder if their coffee is as hot as McDonald's Since they're all concerned about liability and all....
  16. Exactly. Sounds like these restuarant owners have too much time on their hands anyway. Maybe they need something else to worry about besides filling frivolous lawsuits against the state and taking indirect shots at the 2A.
  17. Cool - I'll have to start watching it. You're right, it stinks that it's not a longer show.
  18. So this is a new series? I thought it was an episode of Self Defense TV. It looks good.
  19. I really need to get a DVR. I love this show, and this is a good epiode. I would have missed it..
  20. It's a UFO (Unidentified Flushed Object)
  21. By these idiots' logic, I should have been dead a long time ago. I mean, how in the crap do I keep from shooting myself and everyone else? Guns are just sooo dangerous! Good thing my holster has proper retention, otherwise my gun would jump out and start spraying lead everywhere... They are so afraid of HCP holders carrying a gun, but there's more chance of injury by slipping on a spill in one of thier restaurants. Hmmm....
