  1. I'm a big .30 carbine fan. I don't have the handgun, but I do have a carbine. You really need to reload this round. Reloader's Bench in Mt Juliet did carry Alabama Ammo factory reloads for about $25.00 per 50 rounds. I believe I've seen .30 ammo at G&L, along with Guns for America. However, if you reload you can cut that in half or better. I'm loading jacketed bullets with brand new brass, and the last time I did the math on it I was paying around $12.00 per 50. The brass can be reused, so you can really take that cost out of the equation.
  2. Sounds right, I recall my buddy talking to someone he called Cee.
  3. I think I was the one that mentioned them. I've been very happy with mine. They're also entirely American made, right down to where the cotton for the denim is grown. I don't recall where every component comes from, but they list all of it on their website, Diamond Gusset Jeans | Official Web Store
  4. Honda makes a quiet generator that I'm really impressed with. I don't own one, but have been around several in use. I couldn't tell they were running until someone turned on something electrical.
  5. If you want good food in that area, there's a meat and three type place about 10 minutes away. I don't know the name, but they're at the corner of Douglas and Jones. A friend of mine suggested them after the show Sunday, and that was some really good food. Bad neighborhood, but really good food.
  6. Welcome!
  7. This was a waste of time.
  8. Congratulations!
  9. I went today. Going in, I didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. My two complaints are like the others said, the aisles were small and the lighting could've been better. I used a flashlight to look at some stuff in part of the building. The Gutter Guard people and someone selling some kind of blue stuff were there, but they were off to the side in a separate room. I think there may have been another non- gun related dealer there, but I'm not sure. I'd say better than 95% of the vendors were gun related. Overall, I liked it better than the last Murfreesboro show I went to. A couple of dollars cheaper to get in, and closer to those of us north of Nashville. I'd probably go back if they had another one there.
  10. How does the state of TN define a commercial vehicle? I believe anything tagged for 26,001 pounds and up is, but what about smaller stuff? My work truck has 'weighted' tags on it for 16,000 pounds, along with a company name on the side. However, I also see a lot of privately owned pickup trucks with the same 'weighted' tags on them. Are they considered commercial?
  11. Welcome to Labonville.com - Logging Supplies and Safety Apparel Labonville Safety Clothing & Accessories - Labonville Inc. Glad you had the med kit. Now get a pair of these.
  12. Interesting. I was under the impression that if a vehicle was legal to operate in one state, other states allowed temporary operation (traveling through) their state.
  13. Pretty scary stuff, glad you're alright.
  14. Did it seem like there was a lot of buying/ trading happening, or was it slow?
  15. I had the opportunity to visit Mr. Caveman a while back when I was in Knoxville, and he indeed runs an excellent shop. I'd say that's about right. It's worth stopping by just for the people watching and commentary.
  16. It looks like I may be there Sunday afternoon. Need some reloading supplies.
  17. Greg is right. The BPS is a great shotgun, but the Model 37 is a better shotgun in my opinion. It feels smoother and more solidly put together than the Browning.
  18. Welcome!
  19. Honda makes a gas powered generator that's incredibly quiet. I was at a truck show where a vendor was using one, and I stood right beside the generator for a few minutes before I realized it was even running. I haven't priced them, but I'd guess the silence commands a premium price.
  20. Welcome from just down the ridge. Only range I'm aware of that might get out to 200 yards is the TWRA range on Hobson Pike in Nashville.
  21. The previous owner, among other things, added a Pioneer CD player to the truck. Took the truck side wiring harness from that install, and a radio I already had, problem solved.
  22. I'm in to do it again.
  23. I like it. I built one similar to it a couple of months ago. Good call on not gluing it together. I glued mine, then not a week later some doofus shot the top cross piece. Haven't fixed it yet, but I'm sure it'll be a pain when I do.
  24. That's all I want. I'm moving from a 54 year old truck with no radio, into a 9 year old truck with a radio. Ain't got to be great, I just like that it's there. I tore into it this morning. I was guessing the speaker was bad, I was wrong. I pulled the door panels and swapped speakers side to side, problem remained the same. Short answer, radio itself is bad. Time for a new radio. I have a Clarion that's new in the box, never installed. It's probably going in, since I already have it. I appreciate the advice though, I may upgrade the speakers later.
  25. So there isn't much difference between brands, at least not in the price range I'm considering? How cheap can I go without getting junk? That's the plan!
