    1911 Gun PoRn

The Dan Wesson Valor model with a bobtailed(angled at the bottom rear) grip.
  2. If you like that one Mike, here are a few more that you can put in the bank for later.
  3. The red light cameras in Kingsport are installed and maintained entirely at the cost of a private company. Every ticket is split 50-50% between the company and the city.
  4. Some of my favorites, in no particular order- Actors- Robert Duvall, James Earl Jones, Gene Hackman, Kurt Russell, Robert Downey Jr. Actresses- Reese Witherspoon, Salma Hayek, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry
  5. Thanks for the kind words everyone.
  6. I built it and I'd like to see how it turned out too. I took a new job and never got a chance to see it after it was stained and had the glass installed. I did have pics of it with the doors and drawer fronts installed but I lost them when my computer crashed. I'll see if I can get some pics of it all prettied up later on.
  7. Sorry, my mistake. I just assumed you might have seen it in that movie. I think the problem that some people have with this particular vacation is what he will be missing, especially considering his perceived disdain for our fighting men and women. Personally, I wish he'd go on permanent vacation. The less time he spends on the job, the less damage he can do.
  8. Excellent article! I was also impressed by the overwhelming national support in the comments.
  9. This is inaccurate. Don't trust everything(or anything) you hear out of Michael Moore. From this site- Bowling For Truth In August 2001, Bush was "on vacation" from the 7th-13th and the 21st-25th. He was still receiving daily security briefings and had his staff with him. You can read the official press briefings at the site linked. He also worked on a Habitat for Humanity house while on "vacation".I am not trying to defend Bush. I don't like him and thought he was a horrible president, although he looks better and better every day by comparison. Just pointing out that you can't really believe everything that MM says.

    XD40 or XD9?

Since I reload, I voted for the 9. I like to minimize the number of different calibers I have to have dies, etc. for.
  11. Notice that he says that there is "no criminal penalty", not that it is legal.
  12. Thanks for that link, PapaB. I was already leaning toward Ramsey, but after reading that website I know I'm voting for him.
  13. No sweat Suntzu. I didn't mean to give the impression that I'm some nancy boy PC nazi.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tN1AaHaqj4Q I think you may be completely misunderstanding me. I don't have a problem with it. Progeria is a very rare and actually quite fascinating genetic disorder that I thought some people might be interested in learning more about if they were unaware of it.
  15. Now you have. You know what they say about knowing and battles and whatnot.
  16. I have Lyman, Hornady, Sierra, and Nosler reloading manuals and think the Lyman manual is the best for people starting out. It has a wide range of different bullets from various manufacturers, and is a little more instructional than the others. As for dies, I have several different brands and all work well. For value, it's hard to beat the Lees or the Hornadys. The price is right on the Lees and they come with a shellholder. Hornady gives you a mail in coupon for 100 free bullets if you buy a set of their New Dimension dies, you have to pay shipping though(about $7 I think). With the free bullet offer, the Hornady dies end up being a really good deal. I'm not a big fan of RCBS now that they have started making the Rockchucker in China, and the whole military surplus fiasco from their parent company ATK. They still make good reloading products though.
  17. Okay, how in the heck can you pull for the Red Wings AND the Avalanche?
  18. NCAA Football- Tennessee and Penn State, gotta love JoePa NCAA Basketball- Duke and Tennessee NFL- Colts in the AFC, Vikings in the NFC NHL- Red Wings NBA- Don't care, basically whoever is playing the Lakers. I hate pro Basketball MLB- Red Sox or whoever is playing the Yankees NASCAR- Hate it. The only racing I like is MX, SX, and MotoGP but don't have a favorite Soccer- Don't care about girls sports unless it's the Lady Vols

The Tri-Cities are Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson City, in the extreme northeast corner of the state, Pretty much as far away from Memphis as you can get and still be in Tennessee.
  20. Sounds about right. I ran into a guy at the range awhile back who had two MP5s with him. He said they were about $15,000 each, not including the suppressors.
  21. If the four-wheeler is unavailable, I'd take the folding saw. Good cutting and lightweight packing. But I have to admit that my first instinct was the hatchet for it's obvious man-cred.
  22. +1. The Bushnell 4200s and the Nikon Monarchs both have great glass for the money. The Bushnell 3200s actually aren't too bad either. Weavers are very clear for the money as well. Their new tactical scopes might be worth looking into. I know my Weaver V16 has extremely good glass for the price.
  23. First of all, I just want to say that my thoughts are with you Mike. Try to stay positive, as hard as that may be to do. And know that a lot of people here genuinely care about you and want the best for you. Take comfort in whatever it is that YOU believe in. Best wishes to you and yours. Second, I have no desire to get into this increasingly mean-spirited religious debate. Please take it elsewhere people, and don't destroy this man's thread asking for help and comfort. You know who you are, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
