  1. Yeah. Might as well go ahead and set an empty box aside for the holster collection. You might get lucky and hit upon the "right" one for you. Then again, you might be like the rest of us. I can recommend a Crossbreed Supertuck Delux, since that's what I have. But it may not be right for you. Like someone else said, see if you can try some (meaning: borrow them to wear for a week or two) before you buy. Good hunting.
  2. Well, now there's a gun with some serious character! And I like the way Memphis put that, too.
  3. I'm thinking of going back to revolvers, since that's what I love, and I shoot them better anyway. I'm thinking of letting go of my kit to do this, but, the question is: Would this be a wise thing to do at this point in time? I have a Glock 17 gen 3 right now, with 3000 or more rounds - including hollowpoint and FMJ, 15 or 20 mags, Advantage Arms .22 conversion with 10 mags. I've often made the statement that I'd certainly be content if all I had were revolvers. Every time we go to the range, it's usually several different departments attending. I'll consistently outshoot most of the others there, and outshoot myself between the issued G23 and the backup .38. All that to say that I've always been more confident and competent with a revolver. And before there's any smart comments about police being lousy shooters, well, there are some there. But, we also have some darn good shooters, including me. In other words, I could be content spending the rest of my life with some good quality revolvers. Plus, I'm wanting to train my boys up on them as well. And, I also like the fact that I don't have to spend any money I may have on mags, and spend it on ammo instead. I'm kind of on the fence about this right now, so I'm asking for good, common-sense opinions from those on here with some good common sense.

    Feeler Only

Thanks for the friendly reminder via PM on that. I'll get my info somewhere else. Should have titled it "What's it worth?" By the way, this was a "What's your opinion, should I do this or not?" type thread, not a for sale thread.

    P85....worth?

You might try looking of gunbroker. Sometimes their prices run a little high, sometimes fairly average, but it'll give you some good ideas. Auctionarms.com might be another good one.

    Ruger 77/357

What will the extra barrel length do for the velocity of the .357. I know the velocity increases significantly, but I've forgotten how to figure that up.
  8. AMEN, AND AMEN, AND AMEN! If someone wants to "friend" me, they can do it in person. A friend of mine (one of the three I have purposely whittled the list down to) and his wife have facebook accounts, then complain to me about all the trouble they have with each other. "Here's your sign." I use a telephone. But of course, I even hate texting.
  9. Yep! I was about to say the J.G. Wentworth commercials make me feel like I've got one nerve left and it's being raked over a cheese grater. Those and the dang Bart Durham commercials with the cheesy acting.
  10. Sounds like this guy was "stressed" long before the air show came around. Smart move.
  11. I just talked to a friend of mine with Dickson PD. He said the funeral is this Saturday at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church in Dickson.
  12. Dadgummitttttt!!!!! Beat me to it. I go to Tennessee Gun Country in Clarksville for some of the reasons stated here. The prices are not bad/decent/sometimes really good. I can stay out of gun stores for a while (a little while)(addiction), then fall off the wagon and go in there. Every time I walk (addiction) in I get hassled, with verbal needles and barbs thrown my way. Oh, the abuse. Much like here. Gives me a nice warm feeling like being at home. I cannot stand to walk into a shop somewhere as a potential paying customer and be ignored or treated like a nuisance, with arrogant "gun shop commandos" behind and in front of the counter. Like "Gun Mart II" or whatever that was on Charlotte Ave. WORST excuse for customer service I've seen. Except for the heckling, they've gotten to where they pretty much leave me alone in the Clarksville shop because they know that I know where EVERYTHING is (addiction), and if I need something I'll ask. They've installed things for me and not charged me a dime. I've also seen them go out of their way and spend a great deal of time helping customers who were maybe new to guns or just indecisive. That's what I like. I'm just using them for an example, as I know there are plenty other shops out there that put forth the same effort, thankfully. I do have to shop price of course, but, like someone else said, I'm willing to spend maybe a few extra bucks with someone who knows the meaning of customer service.
  13. It's not just you.
  14. Glock 17, 19, 22, 23, 21. Me-thinks it's just because I've trained with and used them for so long. Although it seems hard to beat a good 1911 for draw and fire. Unless you're Bob Munden that is.
  15. That's why I'm driving a Ford now. They didn't, as far as I've heard anyway.
  16. I'm so disgusted right now, I'm about ready to put down Earnest T. Bass as the write-in. The only encouragement I got was the sheriff's races. New sheriff here in Houston County, but the one that I hooped and hollered about to the top of my lungs was the Dickson County race. Jeff Bledsoe, who is a fine man to all who know him, beat the rotten incumbent Tom Wall like a drum. I'm STILL jumping up and down.
  17. I think I looked kind of funny just now, sitting in my patrol car, crying, and holding my mouth so I wouldn't spit out my dip!

  20. Some pictures would help a lot. I'm not familiar with that one myself, but chances are, someone on here is. Maybe a couple good overall pics and some really good close-ups.
  21. How the heck do you tell if someone is on or off-line now?
  22. I like your title, calling it the Westboro UnChurch. We are to honor those to sacrifice in order to fight for us and our freedom. Especially those who have fallen. These fools, these enemies of God, will fall one day, hopefully soon. I will mark it on my calendar to NOT shed a single tear that day, and to celebrate that day ever after.
  23. 750 grain boollitt moving at 2460 fps. Probably only kicks as bad as a gub-ment mule!
