i will get so more pictures, i just told him what i wanted, and he did it. i have the Limited gun for a few years, and wanted the open gun to have the same slide cuts, plus i told him to come up with a idea to do something with front sight dove tail. the sight is a leupold Deta Point melted into the slide. the barrel is a KKM with the Carver threads with a Carver minor brake . it has a 2.5# trigger with the travel stops. no parts kit and factory springs. all the others have a 2.75# trigger. the mag well is a brass from SSS. i wish they still made the bigger brass one. Bobby Carver says if can ever get caught up with current demand, he will get try and get his M & P magwell finished. -
MGM is having a sale (all there stuff is AR 500) if you call and order on Monday you should have by Friday. on a side even the cheapest 223 FMJ will go thru most scrap steel at a 100 untill you get a 1/2 or better thick then it just takes a few shoots.

no you do not to be a member. you would shoot single stack or limited ten. the gun is more suited to single shack. i highly recommend have 5 mags loaded on your belt.

i can not give a legal answer but we travel to hoover a few times a year for the tact carbine match, plus there always many of us not from Bama and never heard of everyone having issues with the L.E. if you have to have a legal answer try goolging brock's gap training center, if its not lisyed there i sure there would be good contact info.

+1 we now have several, not cheap but light and strong. the samson evolution and troy are a lot alke but Samson has been good to us.
-
thanks! like i said they still suppose to supersonic at 1000. and that is what sealed the deal for me on that Stag coupon.

it was just a honest question about lead rifle bullets, about say 20 years ago i heard about. not to worry i do believe you. it is odd somethimes how i can remember something small like that, when i have never even tryed to cast my own bullets, but can not remember what i did yesturday. but if you do get a 6.8 a some point you tell us how the 270 type lead bullets perform.
-
Caster, just a question, i know that the 300 BLK is normally at slower bullet speeds, but i am thinking at one time i read or was told that lead rifle bullets will melt the lead in flight i think it was, fact or fiction? okay and if any one cares the Stag hunter 6.8 with a 20.75" barrel no threads 1 x 11 twist at 12 feet shooting the SSA 140 grain VLD ave chrono was 2528 fps.
-
thanks, i thought those pictures loads looked like lead! cool! and truth be i known age and health gets us all, some sooner, justing not waiting to admit/give in to it. on a lot of 3 gun matches; like the up coming pro/am i shoot AM for that reason (and get hell for it from fellow shooters) and if i was not having still having fun and enjoying it (until scores come out) even now i really am just throwing away money. but what the hell, it is my only remaining bad habit! the night before at work people could tell i was hurting a little and some asked i am i going to do when i can not shoot any more, my reply was that what's the 6.8 is for F-class, supported gun and a scope that is as long as i can go prone. not the best for the job but it will be trigger time. i think it was my 2nd FT. Benning match i could not go prone, instantly my toes would go numb and my head would spin. thankfully that's all but a thing of the past. it was not easy shooting a shotgun from a very low port in the fetal position, it had to look funny. this afternoon before work i plan to chrono the 140 VLD.
-
+1 on the trigger, also i am glad i am the only one who those "BAD" range days. i do agree on finding a load and sticking to it. i am hoping to make a "F-class" gun out of it. and want to a shorter upper for hunting. Caster i did think about the 300 ACC, but the one issue is that to me it is not long range gun, but this was a prize table gun abd Stag does not make one. and when SSA came out with the 140 VLD it was a done deal. thank you all.
-
well you do much better than then, i no longer even try without a scope. and very shaky, the impatient part kicks in when i have one of those what in the hell days.
-
thanks! i think you saw the picutres from part 1 other than very hot and sloppy shooting the 85 grain barnes SSA tactical load ttsx did MOA at 400 i do believe, just shoot and do not over think it. add about 6 to 8 MOA to your scope and use a full size white poster board and you should be on there then adjust from there have fun. do not forget 1 MOA at 100 is 1.05" so you will be adding at least 24" from a 100.
-
that is the sad part fully supported, just rushed as the range was already closed.
-
got it, and do understand but just wondering, say a tank gunner should have a M9 for his weapon, he could have that same pistol for 5 years (just for the hell of it) is it run till failure or after x amount of time the block would be replace?
-
+1 even though they are made here, the money still goes across the pond. Just like when the M1 tank first came out the barrels were from Germany, (do not know it that is still true) I am thinking WHAT THE HELL. back then the war we trained the most for is when Germany was over run. go figure
-
be damn i really though that been fixed. that is piss poor that it is still a issue.
-
forgot, the link on the side of the pictures is a 8 round run. slow start 0.50 average spilts 0.19-0.23 fastest 0.17 slowst 0.50 for 8 shots on target in 2.02 seconds. slow but great for me.

could not post text, to tired i guess, 24" VM, grizzy brake, Messa short stock with check peice, C-Rums trigger and lifter, lighten bolt by Tim C gunsmithing, M2 bolt release and handle and speed chute. you not suppose to be able to use a pistol grip stock and the speed chute together. the factory mounting hole is the center one. a +7 tube
