  1. also HCGC shoots IDPA on the second saturday, every 5th saturday has multigun somewhere, gary in owensboro, David in steel city has great tact rifle matches, memphis has some kind of shooting most weekends, like IDPA, USPSA, 3 gun and hi power. HCGC also has some kind of hi power matches also.
  2. be damn! Greg even put commercials in his video!
  3. well it was not the barrel being loose, CMMG said for me to send them my complete upper and they will trouble shoot and repair even though it is only there barrel. they also sent me a return UPS label and will pay shipping each way. i also talked to the folks at White Oak they explained that in the life of a barrel there is only one thing that will cause pressure to go up, and that is a build up in the throat. so scrub, JB bore compound, repeat. be damn it worked, i guess i just got sloppy in my cleaning.
  4. okay, thanks hognut i can shoot my 9mm limited gun in ESP. thanks
  5. thanks, sorry about the confusion. and Wanda beat me on all stages but one, and got top lady in the shoot off.
  6. well i believe i found the problem, you could say it was headspace issue, some how my retaining nut that goes on the upper reciever became loose, not sure why, it would get some wobble in it. but i was going to try a new bolt when i noticed that the barrel was loose. i know my accuracy had dropped off, just thought it was me. thanks
  7. there will be race guns there, in the hands of shooters that will leave you thinking i have to follow that! but you will shooting with them not against them. and they are always willing to help anyone who will listen. they gave up on me and just let me shoot and have fun. i love limited, 22 rounds per mag and reload any were at any time. most of them say start with production. 10 rounds in each mag, but i much rather stuff the mags and run and gun!
  8. sounds like a plan i will get one order.
  9. new black box federal 5.56, ppu 223 match 75, i do not reolad. as far as i know the 55 PMC and 62 grain PPU has never had it blow a primer that i know of.
  10. what i call my race gun has started having rounds blow out there primers, this has been on a few different brands. it first started at a small match using 5.56 and gave me my first DNF. but did it again today at the range using PPU 223 match 75 grain. the primers are not punctured at all the brass looks good just missing the primer.the primer just seems to fall out of the brass. it is a 16" mid length with a JP LMOS bolt carrier and adjustable gas block. it thought maybe it may need a new recoil spring i normally use a standard carbine lenth but this time i just put in the JP extra power. the only big thing i have done to it, is about a year ago i changed out the JP trigger "kit" for a Wilson TTU that i picked a the IDPA nationals at a good discounted price, i really do like it more than i thought i would. this the same gun i have used at all over the south at matches. any idea? thanks
  11. okay mags fully loaded with extentions is good to go, so can we use limited style guns. i need to try to redeem myself after my piss poor shooting at brian's steel match.
  12. thanks, to everyone who let me shoot through so i could get some sleep before having to be back at work.
  13. joe they look great! and as i said they are at there best suppressed. warbird, if needed the handle will work as forward asst but i myself would not hammer it. grizzly does make them leftly only and Ambi, i have seen the ambi, did not care for it at all. also i think it is ASA makes a very nice one that the handle stays in place and not travel with bolt. i have shot with it before very nice, but on the left side with folding handle has a small open slot and did not want that on a suppressed gun.
  14. sounds great! my wife was the same way, people who know her would never know now how she was at first. from what i learn when you get her to the 9mm try to stay away at first from any plastic gun. go with a heavier metal gun, less recoil and easier for to control. trying a glock first was a mistake, she hates them to this day. just like my youngest son. the glock easly stove pipes. the XD only stove pipe about 1 out of 500 rounds. the 92 vortex (i think it was) never. then she really got going with springfield full size steel 1911 in 9mm. now she has shot almost all calibers in semi pistol. 44 mag desert eagle, bren ten etc. she also has a AR, the TAC-2 brief case AR the cool facter was just to much for her not to have.
  15. thanks!, yes they think a lot of them. i already had the side charger bolt, that i used on a mega reciever but hated it having the charning handle. so just needed the new reciecver. then had a some a got some help from the shop at work to turn down the handle to work in the slot of L.A.R. did not save any money the Y/M bolts was high $. but luckily it all works great together.
  16. i also forgot to say that little peice at the back of the reciever is a bubble level, nothing to do with the action.
  17. thanks!!!! alleycat. yeap that is mine! the side charger has been GREAT, very solid, the target is at 600 yards. i missed the 1st shot my friend spotting for me and i both agreed that the mirage was left to right i made a correction, then had some fun. i also shot it at 800 the elevation was good but shot left of target a few inches. thanks again alleycat. not tact cool but it is a shooter.
  18. i think i sent you 2 pictures, i hope anyway. thank you
  19. i (WE) know some grandparents (seniors) that may disagree about the "kids" even though they do try hard.
  20. do not be afraid to stay marksman for a little while, and try to shoot a couple of major matches first. my first classifier i shot novice and i was very disapointed with myself. then pushed hard for marksman and then started shooting some major matches and then it took me a few years to be competive at marksman, even then at some clubs like Manchester it was and still is hard for me to be competive. and now it seems i am going backwards. but just my 2 cents.
  21. yep, that's it! i love mine also, but i am not computer smart and do not know how to post a picture. i will gladly e-mail it to you if you could post it for me.
  22. i borrowed one, luckily it was a very well tuned gun, and easy to shoot and reload. the only time i even touched it was to put it on at the classifier.
  23. Correct it is the 5 gun master you are going for!!!!
  24. yes that correct i have a grizzly (L.A.R.) upper reciever with the right side handle Y/M heavy N.M. bolt help keep the action locked up a little longer. it has a screw in plug in the back that does 2 things, lets you easily remove the bolt and puts some pressure on the lower to kept them tight. i wanted a left side charger but because normally i always shoot this gun suppressed, the C.S. rep said i should not go with the leftly because i am right handed because the extra trapped gases would be coming right at me even worst than if i had a standard charging handle. my other AR is just the oppsite, every thing light for faster action and lower recoil.
