  1. CONTACT! That's for all of the old school TGO'ers.
  2. That's good to know about midway and brownells. Thanks!
  3. Hmm, "but honey, 5000 rounds of 7.65x54 is just like money in the bank...." I'll try it, but I'm not sure she'll buy it.
  4. After waiting far too long deciding to get my C&R, I've finally filled out the paperwork. My papers were mailed today. The countdown is on to see how long it will take. Any suggestions on how to help the wifey understand why we need to officially collect curios? My first excuse is that this will keep me from picking up additional scuba equipment off of th'bay. She wasn't sure this was a good trade, but we'll see if we can work on that.
  5. yep, mine arrived sometime earlier this week. Now for the fun part!
  6. Just ordered mine. We'll see how long it takes to arrive.
  7. Awesome! I love Hans and Frans!
  8. Man, these early morning quizzes just leave me snoozing We actually used a churn like this in 4th grade. Our whole class took home big hunks of butter.
  9. If you're looking for something other than military surplus, try Campmor. They tend to have excellent prices, and if you're patient, you can grab one with free shipping. The advice thus far has been very good. However, I would tend to disagree about how low of a temperature bag to look for. If you are thinking about doing any camping in the winter, go for a zero or -rated (-5, -10, -15, -20) bag. You can always unzip it and let in some cooler air, you cannot always warm up. +1 on the sleeping pad. This makes all the difference between cold in a -45 bag and warm in a +5 bag. If you can, always store the bag unrolled/unstuffed. The "storage" sack is an acceptable alternative. Never store it stuffed or rolled. +1 for visiting REI. Their REI-brand bags are also very good, and have great warranties.
  10. Wow, this is a really interesting read. There's some really good info here for those who want to protect their person and their family.
  11. Ahhh, now I see. You're not looking for tons of penetration, just enough. Thanks!!!!
  12. +1 Those cold mornings, while sometimes really refreshing, can make one a bit slow coming out of the sleeping bag. However, given a choice, I certainly prefer cold weather camping! No bugs, no snakes!
  13. Ok, having never hunted Coyote (or much of anything else), why aren't larger calibers used? I totally understand the "save the pelt" calibers if you are looking to save the pelt, but if you're out to remove some varmints (and you aren't looking at making a 4-500 yard shot), why wouldn't a 30 caliber round work well?
  14. Funny, I'd always heard that you don't need more than 10 guns.
  15. Now we know why the economy is in the tank - no more company Christmas parties.....
  16. I'm late, but I'm in.
  17. It's so hard to narrow down! There's the original "Miracle on 34th Street", "Christmas Story" (thank you TNT for the 24 hour marathon!), "It's a Wonderful Life" (you stink Ted Turner for buying the rights and then only allowing it to be shown once a year), "Rudolf" and all of the other clay/stop-motion ones, Christmas Vacation, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Gremlins, Ernest Saves Christmas, The Santa Claus, etc. However, I think my favorite is the Charlie Brown Christmas!
  18. Thanks for the update about where the funds went! Somehow I missed this post yesterday. Here's to a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
  19. To me, the strangest part of the article is that personal penile enhancement is a growing trend.
  20. I had a Dodge with the 5.9 (360). You'll have to give it gas/pump the pedal while cranking, but that should get you running. If it dies when you let off, just go driving for a bit and everything will be fine.
  21. You should have said: "Nope, I'm just glad to see you!".
