Silver. Silver to gold ratio today is 121/1. They have been currency for 6,000 years and will continue to be for long after our dollar is devalued to the paper it is printed on. The ratio between silver and gold will correct in the future to a more reasonable/accurate ratio and silver can be traded for gold when it happens for many smiles. All the markets are failing currently and silver and gold WILL stand the test. So, $2k or any other I had as extra cash after needed supplies I would recommend to put into silver.

A "Belly Band" is adjustable and can be worn as high or low for your comfort as wanted. Most I have seen seem to be junk, but there are a few that offer good width (4-inches or more), have good retention (Velcro straps for weapon, magazines & other items), can be concealed under just a t-shirt and are maybe a better solution than the pocketed under-shirts. I often use a BlueStone Safety brand one that comfortably carries most any pistol, 4 extra mags, a flashlight and a can of pepper spray. It conceals well under just a t-shirt, can be worn and accessed fairly easily when seated and is easy/quick to strap on or take off. This makes taking a firearm with me on quick trips to the store an easy decision and is comfortable to wear for long periods when other activities are done. Getting under a shirt to access your firearm is not as easy/quick as a standard holster, but when concealment and comfort are high-priority, I find it hard to beat a belly band.

My first was when I was 15, a 1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula. That was a lot of muscle for a young driver, but made for some fond memories that started my love for muscle cars.

I wear 5.11 holster shirts often and think they are a good way to comfortably carry a firearm and a couple extra mags. A S&W M&P40 with light & laser or a 1911 is usually riding in mine. You can occasionally find them for under $50.

The Super Torch in OP's link looks a LOT like this $6 one from Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FC5A5Q/ I picked up the $6 one along with some other inexpensive ones there several months ago and found it to be a good flashlight with lo/high/strobe. Since it uses a standard AA battery, I didn't bother getting rechargeables or a charger. If it is the same one, Amazon looks to have a great delivered price!   :)

I have fallen in love with Smith&Wesson's 1911 E-Series! This is my SW1911TA tactical/railed model... I truly appreaciate the premium features it offers and know it was money well spent! I may appreaciate the E-Series family a little too much, because... Now I have fallen for it's little sister! This commander sized SW1911SC with scandium alloy frame just came home with me... It was the sexy round butt that got me! After getting used to the 5" railed model, I could not believe how light this 4.25" scandium alloy framed model felt! It is UNDER 30 OUNCES!!! Every time I pick it up I wonder where they are hiding the helium. As soon as it proves it's reliability on the range, it will be my new EDC.

As a follow-up, the wife & I have been using the ecigs for over 2 months now and have been tobacco free since we started them! Neither of us have had a craving for a cigarette! I did try to smoke a cigarette about a month after we started vaping just to make sure I wasn't missing anything and I couldn't get through 2 drags off it, it was awful! Our new hobby has become mixing our own eCig "juice"! This lets us control the strengths of the flavors and nicotine and is pretty fun coming up with some unique flavor mixes! After trying several devices, my favorite has become the Prodigy v3.1 from PureSmoker.com! I opted for the 6v package and must say it is hard to go back to a 3.7v device. Using dual-coil low-resistence cartomizers (single unit with refillable cartridge and dual heating coils) with the Prodigy provides the most vapor and best experience for me. If you are in need of a lower cost kit, I can also recommend the KGO 1100mAh kit from hoosierecigsupply.com. It has everything needed to provide a good experience, but I'll be sticking with the Prodigy! I had been a smoker for over 30 years with the last few years being 1.5 packs a day of Camel Filter HPs. I quit smoking the 1st day I got the eCigs and haven't missed them a bit! Anyone considering them as an alternative to smoking should do themselves a favor and give them a try! If you don't already smoke tho, I wouldn't recommend anyone start using nicotine!

The wife & I have been heavy smokers for years and just started using the eCigs a few days ago. I didn't get them to quit smoking, but as an alternative to tobacco. We got a couple of models to try and see what we liked including a eGo, a Leo and a couple of the automatics that look like cigarettes. They all work pretty well with the eGo & Leo having manual buttons to press and the automatics turn on as you hit them and back off when you stop. Pre-filled cartridges can be purchased pretty cheap, but the real savings is with refilling them yourself which offers a great variety of flavors and strengths! Neither of us have had a cigarette since we started with the eCigs and I find them to be a great replacement! No more fire, ash, smell, 2nd hand smoke or restrictions on where we can get our nicotine fix! They provide all the pleasures of smoking without the negative aspects of such and with the various strengths available could be used to step down to quiting.

Yes, but also a horizontal, diagonal, or even roundish clown-nose-like one. Basicly any kind of grip that would aid in safer handling and firing of the weapon. This sounds like good news. Are there any particular horizontal foregrips you can recommend that would keep my handgun a handgun? That seems to be a sensible way of thinking! I hope the laws regarding this are too. It should be welcomed as a preferred safety device and not something that disqualifies a pistol from being a pistol. I purchased the PLR-16 to enjoy on the range and do not have any plans to carry it. However, I do have the option to carry it in it's current configuration as a handgun with my TN HCP and I do not want to give up that option just to add a forward/safety grip to it. So, my question is more about can I and not should I. I agree that registering it as a SBR instead of a AOW is probably best in most situations, but I assumed the SBR designation would not be allowed under my HCP if nothing else just because it had the word "RIFLE" in it. I have/had hopes of this type of AOW being ok to carry with my HCP or even be excluded from being an AOW altogether. I did put some effort into finding the answer on my own before asking here, but didn't find an answer I thought was definitive to the specific question. I didn't intend to burden anyone here, but instead asked here because I consider this community the best collective of knowledge that related directly to my question and would most likely be easily answered without burden. Are there any other common rail items (lights, lasers, scopes, holo-sights, video cameras, sling mounts, etc.) that would make a pistol no longer a pistol or illegal to carry with just a TN HCP, or is the evil forward/safety grip the only one?

If I add a forward grip to my pistol, does my TN HCP still allow me to carry it? I understand the process required to legally add the grip, I just want to make sure I can still legally carry it with my HCP once it is done. Specificly, the pistol is a Kel-Tec PLR-16, but I think this question should apply to any pistol that is capable of having a forward grip mounted on the factory rail. The PLR-16 is not something I would normally carry, but I do not want to loose the option of doing so either. If anyone here can answer this with certainty, it would help me greatly in making the decision to apply for the proper tax stamp or leave it without a forward grip.

5.11's Concealed Carry Holster Shirt's are great! Concealed Carry | 5.11 Tactical They hold about any handgun up to a fullsize with tac.light firmly against your body and very comfortable to wear for long peroids. I think they would be fine to wear alone when running or can be covered up with as little as a t-shirt. I'd recommend checking your favorite vendors for a better price if interested tho.

I like the color options nail polish would seem to offer - let us know how it holds up.

Here are the results of Forsters gold fill kit on my M&P40... It uses brass powder and a hardener that took a little experimentation to get right, but it wasn't too bad. I'm happy with the results and it holds up to use and cleanings well.
