IF the state keeps up with what they are supposed to do it is up to date. If a person is convicted of an offense rendering them ineligible for CCW permit, the state should revoke said permit. The current system of no intrastate sales is actually outdated. With the Federal criminal database, we should be able to purchase by mail from any FFL in any state, your local sherriff no longer need be the key. What brought me to pose the original question was to point out the hypocrisy of banning intrastate handgun sales. Obviously, private party sales are exempt from background checks as the assumption is we are responsible enough to have an idea of who we are selling to. If one state recognizes another's CCW permit, why does the fed deny sales? I'm sure that the recent USSC decisions and the coming battle between states and the DEA regarding marijuana rights will lead us to this. Sadly, I'll be pushin' up daisies by then.

Background checks are only good for 30 days if I recall correctly. Then one is guilty until proven innocent again. Just an annoying under the table tax on one's rights.

God Bless. I half agree with get it done, the other half is I've had a lot of surgeries in the last ten years.

ain't ya got no rock salt loads???
-
Thanks Guys. I thought that and have already contacted the seller to try and negotiate an FFL transfer. This was just a thought that came to mind.

If a state honors our permit, would we be able to make a private handgun purchase? I ask because there is a pistol I want for sale by private owner in North Carolina that I cannot find anywhare else.

it has gone from pretty to just a mess. 9 degrees after the barely above freezing rain. Had to go to Murfreesboro yesterday to have 3 teeth pulled. Roads were fine once I got to a state highway. Wife stopped at Walmart to get my meds and do her bi-weekly grocery shopping. I had to drive the last 6 miles home. Got to one of the hills on our road and there was a truck stuck halfway up. After a car came past us both I waited for him to do SOMETHING. He didn't back down the hill like he should have but I finally saw the telltale blink of reverse lights and was about to head up the hill when someone decided to pass me. Startled, I beeped the horn. They were startled and hit the brakes, slid to the edge of the road. I've got a mouthful of gauze and need to get home to take a pill. Wife can't do anything. I eased up the hill around the truck and on to the house. My choice of Buick Regal TourX wit AWD justified again. Sorry for whomever was in the square Crown Vic but they should have waited.

damn, didn't think of using the leaf blower. Decided to clear the snow off the car, I didn't want that "wintery mix" to make one big ice cube of it. It would have been easier with the blower. Truck didn't start and I was too cold to jump it off, hope the battery doesn't freeze. Glad I work from home! As far as snacks, I'm rationing chocolate. Really wish I had cleared room in the garage to get the car in. Glad you guys can shovel, I shoveled next to the car doors and that's the extent of the snow shoveling I'm doing. Drive is gravel and garage sits back a good way.

yep, wish I had better tires on the old truck. I hate exposing my Buick to the ones who can't drive in this stuff.

I have one. It still works. If I had the wherewithal to transfer the cassettes to digital it would be gone. I also have cassette tapes. LMAO

measured 5 1/2 inches on my front porch. Not venturing out to see how deep it is in the open. Shovel and snow broom are in the garage. I'm broken hearted I have to stay in the house until Friday. That is if the oral surgeon is open Friday. If the power goes out, I have two very big dogs, wife and I can get in the middle of the bed with one on each side. It's 15 here now and dropping. So far the heat is keeping up.

Hornady critical duty in my 9mm. Federal Hydra-shok in my .45s. Would use 125g SJHP in my 357 if I could find any. I have 230g XTP bullets to load for zeroing at the range to closely mimic the Hydra-shok load.

even at higher rates it's half of Hughes. I'll have to pay out my contract but it'll be worth it. I do hope you got your repairs made before this cold snap hits. I should have redone the insulation around my back door. Oddly the air return is right across the laundry room from the back door.
-
They have emailed me to sign up already. I missed the deadline for lower rates but the markings are on the road across from the house. I looked at all options and they seemed to be they best choice. If they are I feel bad for those who have other sat network. They have the cable buried within a mile or so of my place so it won't be much longer. Oddly, the only build back better program I can say I approve of, akin to the rural electrification act.
-
I'm hping they have the cable out here in the next two months. We haven't streamed a movie since we've been here LOL. I considered using a cell hot spot, glad I didn't because we have no cell service either. Fiber network will take care of both. It was quite a shock going from AT&T to HughesNet. But we will survive.

I have no SOME gun control. I have a micro9 and a p32. (not an LCP...yet)

I can confidently say everything goes through VPN. I can find the website, log in and get the data on my personal computer while my work computer is still spinning. That's for the outside websites that do not have to run through VPN.
-
yep, speed isn't bad normally, but i have to use VPN for work and it kills the speed. Have to call them tomorrow. hit my data cap today and I'm running dial up speeds now LOL. Good news; fiber will be here shortly Bad news; I'll still have to pay HughesNet
-
just tell me how to boost speed on sat internet through a VPN.

sorry I did fail to mention make sure the screws are not long enough to go all the way through the sub floor. It would be great if you came through outside of the tub so you can styep on one barefooted.
-
For the sub-floor openings, cut sheet metal to slightly oversize of the opening. Run a bead of silicone around the edge of the hole. Your hardware dealer can reccomend something with tack to it. then self drilling screws around the edges every 4-6 inches. I can't tell if you could do the same around the trunk but if you can, use construction cement to glue it in place. (liquid nails). One option Good Luck!

That's what I get for not paying attention. 2nd

I've changed direction a few times. Figured out after my second divorce I could have a job I enjoyed. That career branch played out as most of the work went overseas. After watching the 3rd company close I decided to return to being a mechanic, at 50, so I went back to school and drew unemployment,,,at 50. Went on my first interview as a diesel tech and was offered assistant shop manager position. You can take your experience with you if you have both sides of the coin. In my case, I had been a supervisor and had also worked for new and used car dealers. Look at where you want to be and build on what you have to get there. yeah, I've never worked in a restaurant, not even fast food, and wouldn't crawl out on the start my own limb even though I had ideas about it.

This reminds me I missed one, A 650 357 mag. Baseball bat to the palm is a very good analogy.

my little 20 plus year old Kel Tec P32 goes everywhere almost every time. It definitely goes every range trip. I may only run one mag through but it will be fired.
