  1. I am thankful for my health, family, and friends. I am most thankful for our loving forgiving God almighty. happy Thanksgiving and God bless you all.
  2. had a blue 6 inch 669VR back in the 80s. it took on some very hot reloads with no issues. had to pawn it to pay my divorce lawyer along with a stainless 85. Taurus makes some good pistols, never had problem with any I've owned. have yet to own a 44 but it is on my list with Ruger's Alaskan being tops and raging bull second. but for EDC 45 has been my choice as long as clothing allows. only got a 9mm this year. 357 would still be my woods piece.
  3. Brownells did a utube vid on how to repair that. have to steam all of the oil and stain out before you epoxy it. I'll try to find it and post a link.
  4. Paid almost $24 for Federal 325 round pack Sunday at wallyworld. Academy in Smyrna has Aguilla 300 round packs of 36 gr hollow points and 40 gr solids. about $21 per box, On Target had Aguilla 50 round 40 gr at $4.99 per. Sportsmans Warehouse has bulk packs too, can't remember the priceon those. I picked up a couple boxes of 208 gr sub sonic sig ammo for my .300 blk at $32.99 a box.
  5. not a purist bone in my body. well, maybe one, very cool custom!
  6. Had we been closer together I would have bought the 10/22. I have since found and bought a 22 closer. wish I could have gotten yours though.
  7. have you checked Arrington tack and gun shop? I had to look it up. It is Triune Guns and Trailers now. Used to carry local made leather there. Along with saddlery.

    45ACP bug

I have 3 .45s and got my very first 9mm this year. It does feel like a mini gun compared to the 45s. Sold it and got a PF9. great little gun. You made a great purchase, congratulations. I personally prefer 1911 but the M&P is a great pistol.
  9. looks and sounds great. If you still have it next weekend, we'll talk!
  10. please send details on 10/22. barrel length, condition, how old, scope details, any extra mags.
  11. I have 13 rounds of 45 ACP Black Talon left from when they stopped selling the original run. I switched to hydra shock.
  12. wow. that had to be difficult. but what a SKILL to learn!
  13. thank you! see, we are smarter than we think!
  14. if my insurance company didn't have doctors, nurses, and lawyers on staff trying to figure out how not to cover what I pay them to cover my doctor would have more staff to care for me and spend less time arguing on how to treat my illness.
  15. Slipped my mind but that is a concern. I can find 230 gr 45 acp right now but factory loaded 357 ammo is hard to find. If I couldn't find heavy, full power 357 I might go with 45.
  16. I believe the .357 mag is the most versatile handgun caliber there is. It's also the best fight stopper. Still love my .45s for carry and I shoot them better than revolvers. I want the redhawk 8 shot .357 but I'm like you, can't bring myself to shell out the bucks for one right now. oh yeah, my 357is the 4 inch ported fully polished. It hurt my wallet.
  17. If that is 150gr 30-30 it has tripled in value. I had my wife pick up 3 boxes early last year at $15.99 a box. Last time I was forced to go to WW they had .22 WRM, 12 and 20 ga shotshells and nothing more.
  18. I'm a HUGE fan of .45 acp for personal protection from two legged predators. For backwoods hiking where large fou legged predators roam, I would carry the .357. of course I have an 8 round .357 but even with six gun I'd take the .357 with 158 grain full power loads.
  19. add in I have seen people asking $1 each and more for LRP and LPP. it will get better but we will never get back to pre 2019 prices.
  20. I have no SPP. would you have a cash price?
