  1. WOW! 10 round bags, what would one do with only 10 rounds? I half agree with hipower, too old and fat to stand in line. But I'm not selling, never again. Every time I sell a gun I regret it,,,except once. Little single action .22 six gun, cheap used out of time piece of crap would burn your hand every round it was so bad.
  2. I went to Academy Sports today. Found UpLula in stock for $29.99 +tax. Just tried it and it is most assuredly worth the money.
  3. Like I said, I sympathize with new owners trying to build a supply. I bought a .300 Blackout a few months back and still trying to build that. But I will buy at reasonable prices. Even bought a different caliber pistol in case my preferred caliber wasn't available. Thought I had things covered with reloading equipment but I didn't get the needed primers so my press is dusty. Live and learn. I have enough ammo, I just can't shoot because it isn't readily available to replace what I burn.
  4. Cross posting this to long guns. we have hundreds of thousands of new gun owners in the US. They are panic buying ammo to go with panic bought firearms. I understand their panic, I even sympathize. But I refuse to join the folly. I looked at ammo today on GB and found 30-30 that I bought two months ago for $16 a box bid to over $80. For a box of 20? really? I would like to have a better stash but I have what I need. Stop feeding these speculators who are cutting off our supply only to try to gouge us. where do you think they are buying theirs? when they stop selling because we stop buying from them the ammo will return to the shelves where it was destined to be.

  6. obviously I have ZERO experience with these. because of that I will buy the UpLula since it is proven. Might not be bad to drop $20 on the copy but if you've never seen or used the original how will you ever know? One of us needs to bite the bullet (pun intended) and try both. My budget is too tight to spare 20 extra LOL
  7. Just got two new mags in the mail today and struggled to get the last wo rounds in both. I will be ordering the UpLula.
  8. I'm just surprised no one got angry. Nice to have a civil discussion about history.
  9. kinda what I didn't want to bring up but,,,
  10. Thanks for saving me the trip. I might have bought another paperweight I can't find ammo for.
  11. Thanks for the SCOTUS ruling NO_ONE. I knew someone would find it. So we can't separate ourselves from the guvment, what is the recourse when they no longer serve the people?
  12. me neither. I still remember people and happenings but not dates. The dates are unimportant other than to know what else was happening at the time.
  13. I would have to re read the articles of confederation as it's been 30 years. But the Constitution was written to help equalize and solidify the union after Shay's rebellion. But my High School history teacher taught that the right to secede was shaky.
  14. read it turn or term as either would fit LOL
  15. I would say the tern fits considering how radical for the times a coal miners union was
  16. They were all flying on Lookout Mountain last time I was there. Oddly enough the stars and bars we see as the Confederate battle flag was the Tennessee battle flag, that is why I liked it, that and I've always been a rebel.
  17. I'd prefer hillbilly since my family settled in the hills on the lower plateau. That family is Irish on one side, English and Cherokee on the other. In modern slang terms I'm a damned yankee since I was born in Toledo, Ohio.
  18. The original term of redneck was used by union coal miners who wore red bandannas to identify themselves in fights. Later on rednecks were the union enforcers. Check library of congress or printed dictionary that doesn't bend to modern slang usage.
  19. Glad I still have the boy scout knife. lost my swiss army knife.
  20. today, my big ol butt from the bed to my home office. most of the hardware is there anyway. In the home office that is. When I leave the house it varies on threat level and destination. Never less than Kel Tec .32 and my Gerber skeleton frame liner lock. At worst so far is Para P14 spare mag and the tanto I hand made from a file.
  21. They are not "rednecks" as Patrick Huber labeled them in 1995. They are just ignorant. from WV Public broadcasting: Mingo County native, Wilma Lee Steele, is one of the board members for the West Virginia Mine Wars Museum. Steele is a retired art teacher. For her the passion of sharing this history started from telling young activists about the history behind the word "redneck" and the red bandana. Striking miners tied Red Bandanas around their necks during the march on Blair Mountain.
  22. Welcome Back!
  23. except, yeah, glad he wasn't from around here because he did make a fool of himself doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. And look up the origin of redneck. it's not what you think.
  24. ummm, his taxes paid for the capitol and the first amendment. That is ALL I have to say about that
