dralarms replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
We are loosing people, Fire mission. -
20 oz porterhouse, sautee'd mushrooms, sweet potato and crab stuffed shrimp.

Yea me too. Let's just say "book" prices on a Beretta are not accurate.

Well I had fresh cooked pinto beans, chopped onions ( in the beans), fried ground hamburger meat, and mac & cheese.

The only thing I disagree with is "unarmed" hell if I'm on a public street I'm armed. I'm not disarming for them, period. Now if you are talking about going in ordering a coke, sitting there taking up space and costing them money then I would have to be disarmed. Otherwise, I'm Ocing a Desert Eagle 50ae. Actually that last part is a joke.

I get out of their way also, that's not what I was saying. I was just saying I've put a van in the ditch gettign out of the way of a ambulance. I do understand a cop is a first responder. I guess I've never been in the situation of a 2 lane road in a traffic jam and a cop come up behind me. I would have probally done the same thing with a cop. I just have not been put there yet.
-
Now if your gonna pass on it:p, I might be interested in it myself. Beretta's are fine firearms and I would not be opposed to adding another to my herd.
-
Oh yea what does he want for it?
-
If it's a retail gun (not police special) used would be , crap can't find my gun book. I'll tell you I paid 350.00 + tax and TICS for a 96d Brig (worth a little more) from one of our vendors here. Marked used but could not tell it. I've also paid 499 for a NIB police special from a now closed gun store. (now it was a 92fs, not a 96D) Yes 96D is a DAO, accurate as all get out, and if you find a way to get it I have a brand new set of factory grips I could send you if your's are messed up.
-
Depends on a lot. 96 D? FS? F? Is it a plain 96 or is it a Brigadeer? Is it a police special? (you can find an impression Ps in a shield on it if it is, unless one of the newer ones.) Biggest question, how much does he want for it? You can pm me if you don't want it advertized here.

Governor Phil Bredesen Vetoes HB0962 (Restaurant Carry Bill)
dralarms replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I actually got a message from Sen. Jackson. Man I wish all the elected officials were like him. Oh and he has filed a motion to over ride the veto. -
:bow: THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! You are welcome. In 1990 when we had the bad accident on I75 (12 dead I think, and 100 cars & trucks), I was "required" to go to Chattanooga anyway and was on hwy 11 headed south in the massive traffic jam and I looked up in my rear view all I could see was ambulance lights. I whipped the van (extended edition full sized) into the ditch, the guy with me freaked out. He told me I was crazy, I told him if it was him or his family in the wreck would he still feel the same. Boy that shut him up.

I deal with LEO's on a daily basis in my job and I have to tell you in all my years I have only met 1 dip:poop: cop. I was driving a rental truck and scraped the awning of a restaurant, I got out and looked, didn't see any damage to the truck or the awning so I paid for my lunch and left. Well 2 days later this :poop:head comes into where I worked, telling me that he would be very happy to beat the crap out of me, drag me to jail for felony hit and run and all kinds of crap. The manager of the store called the restaurant and asked them how much was the damage to the awning, short story, the store paid 450 bucks to have the awning "fixed" (which it never was) the cop is now a loan officer for a loan sharking company, somebody else came along and took the whole awning off.. and the company I was working for got sued for employee rights violations. I responded to an alarm call for a customer (he was out of town and called me to see if I could go shut it up), 10:30 at night, in a very rural part of McMinn county I pull up to the house and no one is around so I wait for the mans daughter. In a few minutes here come 2 deputy's cars, whipping up the hill like it was a bank being robbed. Got out, talked with them, helped to look around the outside of the home, all while OCing. They were cool about it. All in all you will find that the good cops outweigh the bad by 5 to 1 I'd guess. Now this dip needs to be horse whipped. An ambulance has priority over his coffee and donut run. I get out of cops way when they come up behind me with their blues on, but a fire truck or ambulance, I'll put it in the ditch to get out of their way.

Around here we call em little greasers. open box and pour off grease.

Appreciate that, however what I have is a little more that what he is wanting to do. Some of the other stuff looks promising though.

Contact one of the vendors here at TGO. I bought a VERY nice 96d Brig. "police special" from Tri Cities gun depot in Elizabethton for cheap. They are out there to be had and nothing beats getting a good gun and 3 mags to boot. And I am carrying a 96d police special I bought a few years ago right now, OWB is not so bad but IWB would be a bugger.

I can get you one that has a 1000 ft "line of site" range. what that equates to most of the time is around 750 ft or so., the motion is powered by a 9volt battery and the receiver pluggs into any outlet so you can carry it into which ever room you want. Pm me if you are interested.

The day after legal restaurant carry
dralarms replied to Mousegun's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
While I don't OC, I do OWB carry. Some times it becomes exposed. I do however try to get a table or booth where I can sit and my holster not been seen (yes I do where my holster even if I have left the gun in the truck). I'm thinking on June 1st I'll get out my big shiney Para Ord. 14.45 LDA in all stainless and OC it into Outbacks. Just kidding, but you know someone is gonna try it. -

I agree. Oh and BTW I spoke with the mgt at Outbacks in Cleveland and they thought I was carrying anyway:p. Told me "feel better knowing someone beside the bad guy's are carrying" Now that's my kind of restaurant. Of course when I go there they treat me well. -
