  1. Nothing better than the smell of a new 1911,accept maybe the smell of 2 of them
  2. Nice, its what I was looking for about a year ago, alas I had no choice other than to buy a Springfield RO.But I still would have preferred the Ruger.I really like the stainless along with all the other goodies they added to them.
  3. Not only that but some seem to come up with dumb idea's all by them lonesome's
  4. Yup,calling anyone in government only gives them stupid idea's,I sure won't be the one to do that.
  5. Yeh,I suppose it would make some sense as for the liability end of things. We were going to go to the flea market there today but decided to shampoo carpets instead,I would rather do carpets anyway.
  6. to carry at the Memphis Agricenter,I mean they have gun shows there all the time.Is it part of the Shelby Co park system or not.I have done some research and cant seem to find a real answer. It would be kinda goofy to allow firearms into a building for trading and selling but not legal or able to carry.
  7. But it says protected by Strong, what more can we ask.
  8. Thanks, they are pre bent on one side,I installed one grip over that side and then bent the other side and installed that grip, not to difficult
  9. You dont see many reviews of the Wilson Combat front strap checkering.so I thought I would give a few short notes on one.I recently installed one on my Kimber Pro Carry and it doesnt feel to bad, gives a lot better grip in the front compared to the smooth surface thats normally there.Mine hasnt moved around yet, although due to the frame being a matte surface and the grips are G10 I suppose it helps. In any event if a person cant afford $200.00 on a pistol thats already cost upwards of 7 bills its a nice low cost alternative, and they are definately made of thin stainless steel, not plastic like I have read on other forums. And they look fairly decent as well
  10. Brand new box of PMC,we would ask you not to take your brass home,we resell it to remanufacturers. So I decided just to take my ammo home. All these new rules these ranges are coming up with kinda puts a damper on a person.I probably have more time behind a press than some have been alive.
  11. Now thats a revolver!
  12. Of factory new ammunition,do I not have the right to take my brass home when I am done shooting?Inquiring minds want to know.
  13. The only thing better than a new 1911 is the smell of the new leather ,congrats on a fine pistola.
  14. Hands down if a person is looking for a very comfortable holster for IWB use,the Occidental Phoenix Stronghold is the one you want.Yeh,they are pricey but after using other brands of holsters I now know what I was missing.Having worn for about a week now I would not go back to any other type.I now know why so many love the Versa Max and the like. And they are only about a 2 week wait, which is considerably less time than a few other makers.Designed by T.Thurner,he did a good job. So I believe I will have a Galco King Tuk and a Crossbreed Supertuck for sale
  15. I have the 627 which is the Tracker model with porting,I really like mine and has been a good shooter. And no timing or other problems.Congrats on a nice revolver
  16. I have had good luck with Missouri Cast Bullets in both my Aegis and RIA.The last batch I got were 127 grain if I remember right,I use Unique for a pretty accurate loading. So far I don't have a leading problem in either pistol.
  17. Yup,thats it alright,Wilson makes everything better
  18. Yea,really just waiting for the safety to pop off and hit the ground,or something equally annoying.
  19. That I have 2 Kimbers now that both work, they both have MIM parts, factory parts, original extractors and triggers, not to mention entire reliability,it just cant be true, they are Kimbers.Well I think I am gonna keep them, regardless of the hype. About 200 rounds thru the pistol and not 1 glitch, and nothings broken yet
  20. I have had all good experiences everytime I have shopped there.I have even bought a couple of 1911,s from them,2 of which I still own.Mason is a really nice fella to talk with, especially if your a 1911 fan.
  21. I would think by trimming metal from the slide, especially that deep would alter the weight of the slide and possibly also alter the reliability ,also springs being a certain weight for the slide.Timing may be a problem.
  22. And the Pro model doesn't have enough clearance to wiggle the guide rod and spring out without using the tool.On my Ultra I can pull it apart without the tool just by wiggling the guide rod just right.
  23. Springfield makes some very nice 1911's,congrats on finally receiving your's
  24. Defensive distance,I always try them at 21 feet,if good then move farther.I think any distance further is time to turn and run the other way.
  25. Actually it was 1 yard because I am a horrible shot, and only had 80 malfunctions out of 70
