  1. Yah,its really making me wonder whats going on with the 22LR.I have never seen it like this. When did reselling ammo without a FFL to make a living become the norm. All of the stores that sell ammo have to pay taxes and I am sure have to have a FFL license.I surely am not in favor of any kind of new regulation on my sport, but somethings got to happen to squelch this activity.Maybe the resellers just need to get a real job.I haven't seen any 22LR on the shelves of any of the WalMarts in the Memphis area in a year.I completely gave up searching. At this point its large caliber range time mostly.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply,I am thinking about a new purchase and just would like a different place to look for a change.Maybe something different from all the other old haunts.
  3. Has anyone from the Memphis area ever visited the store behind WalMart on Trinity.I was thinking of doing a little window shopping and was wondering if its worth stopping in there or not.
  4. It made me laugh
  5. Savage also puts out several bolt actions that are reasonably priced, and they shoot pretty good also.
  6. One plus of the 300BO,if your a reloader components are very available-223 brass is easily converted to the 300..30 caliber projectiles are plentiful.
  7. Boy,those would make a darn fine tornader shelter
  8. I think they call it a Raptnid-half raptor-other part scary
  9. I have the non illuminated model on my 300 blackout.Shoots straight at 135 yards and keeps it there.I think for the money they are a good scope.
  10. Its no wonder most young boys are growing up to be sissified. It seems that there are way too many people that are scared of their own shadow, just a lot of nonsense seems to take the place of common sense. One of my school friends cousin's used to have BB gun fights with Crosman pump ups,I wonder what the people would make of that nowadays.I can remember digging a BB or 2 out of their skulls a few times.
  11. Anytime a pro supporter can make the antis day a little tougher is a good day indeed. And it looks like Ohio has a good amount of supporters.
  12. I like it
  13. Yup,gotta e-mail from Ruger today as their big announcement.Looks like a person should try to check one out in person. If one could be found.
  14. There is a real cancer in this country, seems lately on a daily basis a person reads about this type of crime on innocent people.I think God needs to flush the toilet again.
  15. Mine renewal was due in March, last December I mailed in my form and to my surprise I had it in less than 3 weeks.I will definately go the mail method again. It seems from a few guys I have talked to it takes longer when you go to TDOT.Dont know why it should matter. My first permit took 2 days shy of the 90.

    SR1911

I have the SR1911 myself and agree they are fine shooting pistolas, congrats.
  17. Exactly the way my CMMG 300AAC is built.
  18. $39.99 per 1000,a little expensive but cheaper than I could order anywhere and pay their haz mat fee.
  19. Yup,ordered some 200 RNFP in .45 yesterday myself, they were actually in stock.
  20. There was no 22lr or 9mm to be found-I was there around 11:00 am.I am pretty well off now that I found some primers.I load for all my pistol calibers so it makes it a little cheaper than buying it.Although 9mm is kinda a pain but still worth it.
  21. :woohoo: Things must be loosening up a little-I actually bought 1000 small and large pistol primers today at Bass Pro here in Memphis, and at pre panic prices-exactly what I was paying a year ago $39.99 per brick.
  22. Thats a good one right there
  23. I talked to the clerk at our local Wal Mart about the in stock issue,I was looking for a Nikon P223 and it showed them to have ample stock at or local store.I made the drive down only to be told that their stocking levels never tell the truth,Well I says what good is that.
