  1. Kinda makes you wonder what turnip truck they fell off of.
  2. I can sympathize with your feelings,a couple of years ago I also was trying to get back into the sport, only to find that a person needs a lot more than a rifle and a license,at the time a few of my buddies were trying to get me to opt into some hunting land with them only to find out I would need some awfull deep pockets for something I could only probably participate in twice a year, when I lived in my hometown my dad had 220 acres we could hunt anytime the season was open, boy when you have it that good you dont realize it till later.
  3. +1 on the Wilson,der da best.

  6. Buffalo Bore also makes some .38 spcl ammo for short barrel pistols,I keep my wifes Charter Arms Pink Lady loaded with it,Its a reduced load with a good hollowpoint, seems to shoot pretty well too.Made specifically for in home defense.Midway carries it when they are not out of stock.
  7. I recently wrote Com-Tac and inquired about the Taurus with rail,I have the blue steel AR,they say at present they are not making the MTAC for the railed Taurus,I wanted to buy the shell and they said NOT.I havent found a OWB holster yet that is specifically made for one,the rail on the Taurus is larger than some others like the Kimbers.
  8. I had one like it back around 1980,they are fine pistols, still wish I had it,they shot great.
  9. It doesnt appear to me that their is any mention of legal permit holders doing any of these shootings, just an awful lot of minors involved in several instances,so my question would be,why does the media and politicians turn the problem onto the shoulders of us that are legal law abiding permit holders by banning our right to self defense when the illegals dont seem to give a rat about the laws, they all seem to have weapons though. As was slangily stated waasup wit dat.Homies gottem I aint.
  10. +1 on the slam his body in the door enough times should get his undivided attention, our luck the BG would bring us up on assault charges and win knowing our court system.
  11. This is my 638 in a Crossbreed Supertuck, lots of leather behind the frame, this one is cowhide.
  12. I have a few spring air guns and a good site to visit is Pyramidair.com,they have good prices and ship pretty fast, also they stock quite a bit .
  13. Beretta U22 NEOS great plinker.
  14. I think they are trying to outlaw certain types of assault fritos also, the scoops are the worst type of weapons anyone makes, brings tears to your eyes when one jambs into the roof of your mouth,I say ban em all, there all dangerous, especially to your thighs.
  15. This is also a fine S&W a bit big on boom when using Hydrashocks though.

  19. I was in Bass Pro in Memphis this AM and bought a bulk pack of UMC .45 ACP for $95.00 and they had 4 or 5 boxes left when I left at about 11:00.
  20. I think that our down turn in economy is giving corporations and other businesses a good excuse to sometimes treat employees badly,We can get another one of you at the drop of a hat,we have them standing in line to work here, your just lucky to still have a job-We hear it all-Just my humble opinion.
  21. Yes sir I live right on the edge of the city of Memphis,I think they should make it against the law to not carry in the city,I have been on Beale St only during the day and normally on Sunday morning to walk along the river, but a couple of times we were asked for change by the homeless guys so we dont visit downtown any longer, safer that way carrying or not,let the politicians have it they deserve it.

    NEW Taurus 1911HC

If these are of the same quality of their present PT1911 it will be a decent firearm,it would be interesting to actually feel the width of the grip area,a guy like me with small mitts would probably have a problem shooting it.
  25. Thanks for all the quick replies,I went ahead and ordered the MTAC,they say 10 days waiting period till shipping, thats not to long I guess.
