  1. if you decide you're willing to ship in future, lmk. Would snag those MBUS off you, just shoot me a PM down the line

    PSA 5.56 Jakl

My firing pin broke in first 30 rounds. PSA is def on my poo poo list
  3. Got Bravo kit actually. Haven’t had a chance to try it out though. Something I’d bring to range but not a class
  4. Yeah, posted up with him. Hopefully Lebanon got something good
  5. appreciate the feedback Smith. The Stern adapter caught my eye, definitely a "buy once cry once" adapter though. Agree the mag release is preferable, whole reason i want this is to create a cheaper alternative to 556 training. If its got an ak-style switch its not doing the trick. my 762 adventure didnt pan out on saving me ammo costs (maybe one day). Endomag might be the better choice since i only have 2 glock pmags lying around that i actually dont have a use for anymore. believe this also solves the LRBHO issue and eliminates need for new mag holder solutions on my belt rig. Thanks for hitting on the buffer weight (think i will plan to get a dedicated 9mm one), though my lower is a rifle lower, so may end up having to go with a rifle length upper just to avoid any SBR concerns.
  6. Trying to snag a 9mm upper this wknd. If I do, likely take these off your hands if you still have them next week
  7. Debating whether to build a 9mm (AR-pistol style). Haven't done too much research in this space, but seen a few of you post things up that make me thing some of you will have some good insights into this. Is there a material difference in the parts needed? Lower - I'm not keen on buying a dedicated 9mm lower, thinking a multi lower with a magwell conversion insert. Anyone have experience with these? Brands you recommend if so? Complaints/reservations if not? Glock Compatible vs. SMG Stick Buffer - see 9mm buffers online for $25 (cheap enough IMO). Is it really as simple as swapping spring/buffer out between one for 223/556 vs. 9mm? Or would one work for both? Upper - outside my wheel house, would be buying a completed one. Assuming many individuals run these with cans, but also assume many 9mm cans are direct thread rather than some type of QD system. Any particular cans that people found to work really well with a 8-10.5" upper? Barrel - length/twist, any knowledge you can impart here. Certain combos to stay away from, or gravitate towards? Remember another post asking about these (may be pretty old). Anyone found a local/store that sells lowers? A $50 lower from PSA sounds great until shipping and the FFL charges $60 for the transfer. If you bought a 3-pack of lowers, would you be charged the fee 3x? Is it per serialized item typically? As always gentlemen, thanks in advance for the info.
  8. How much money in materials do you suspect is costs you to make your PCC lowers?
  9. Spaced on this, should’ve put it in my phone calendar. if anyone wants to do some sporting clays tomorrow at Nashville Gun Club LMK.
  10. RKS in Lebanon next weekend. Found that venue to be the best of the middle TN ones... big open and well lit.
  11. HMU if willki falls through, might be interested. Have the same exact one (unbranded) from a TrueShot special, haven't really given it a go yet though.
  12. @TGO David so took the Hellcat pro out for another shooting night tonight. Defensive pistol class at Royal. Went A LOT better than Day 1 with it; stacked shots on a 2in circle and good hits on speedier drills. I’d attribute bad shots to poor trigger prep (Im By no means a fantastic shooter). That bein said, it still is a very snappy pistol. Shooting my mod2 is significantly more pleasant long term, but The pro is significantly smaller. Trade offs
  13. Let me know if your other buyer falls through
  14. Brought a Hellcat pro through Royal Range's EDC #3 course the other week. The Pro's larger grip eliminated the issue of getting a good grip on the gun, but would agree that this thing hits hard. Noticed my hand actually feeling sore the next day (~100-200 rounds?). I really like the ergonomics of the gun, i shot a Mod2 for past couple years so the trigger is what I am used to, no complaints there. Definitely need to take it through some more challenging classes to really make a final decision. Should I have rented it next to a 365xl? Probably. But the price was right, i really enjoy the sight picture, and have never had a failure with a Springfield.

    T-Rex 22

Biggest complaint with the TX22 was not being zeroed out of the box, and having a HELL of a time getting it adjusted. You also need an ungodly small screwdriver to adjust the rear sight. I ended up loosening the thing up all the way and eyeballing it back down before getting a zero target and making smaller adjustments.
  16. drive by it all the time, never ate there yet. will certainly try to swing by for a hello if im not out of town
  17. dont think i could get away with a fisher shirt, hah, you bunch of dads. Appreciate the suggestions and the banter though gents. Going to take a trip through Duluth and see what else is out there locally i can try on
  18. Lol. Bet it’d serve me well when shooting sporting clays
  19. Check out the suggestions. Thanks gents. did an EDC class at royal tonight and found myself constantly adjusting a no name polo as it kept hanging up (though that was a slim cut). More optimistic that there’s options that I can make work after doing a class with full EDC rig.
  20. Has anyone found a brand/company that sells casual tshirts they found pair with with AIWB, i.e., dont print egregiously? Upon looking holster shirts keep popping up, whereas i am just looking for a normal crew/v-neck tshirt that fits and doesn't look like im wearing a potato bag. Not a big guy, 5/10, 175lbs relatively fit build. Do they exist, or do i have to just accept that a "cover" shirt is the only good way to conceal?
  21. Yeah, was sad when I saw the training review (just missed it). Will keep JM’s in mind too thanks
  22. Shane actually brought me through my first year of classes while he was leading Royal Range’s program. Saw his post awhile back, definitely on my radar for his medical focused courses.
  23. Live in Nashville city limits, wondering if anyone had any suggested classes that are relatively close? I have done a lot of classes through Royal Range (Defensive Pistol & Rifle, Gunfighter, Concealed Carry, and the SIMs course) over past few years, have always really enjoyed the instructors, but wondering if anyone had experience elsewhere they'd recommend? Enjoy shooting and moving and working from holster/transitions, less interested in standing in a booth and trying to make quarter sized groups at different distances. Nashville Armory? Glock Store? Owner/operators?
  24. was just about to order one from Bass Pro. can take it off your hands. PM your PayPal handle
