  1. I've tried a few of Condor Tactical's products and I wasn't really happy with them. No offense to anybody, but they just seemed more like paint baller / airsoft type stuff. I could be totally off base, but it just seemed like it wouldn't hold up too well. I've got a buddy who swears by them, but I'm not really keen on trying them out again. I'm looking for an open top triple magazine pouch, and the only people that seem to make it is Condor Tactical. I can't find it anywhere else. MA27-Open Top M4/M16 Triple Mag Pouch Did I just have bad luck and get some bad items? Anybody have a good experience with Condor Tactical? I'm willing to give them a shot again. Perhaps you know a different company that makes an open top triple mag pouch? Let me know, Thanks! Edit: Forgot to mention, it needs to be MOLLE. Thanks!
  2. I know people say this to be funny, and most of the time it isn't true, but I just spit my drink all over the side of my desk after I read this.
  3. That's my uncle Pancho dude. Why do you have to get personal MustangDave? I kid! I kid!
  4. About 5 years ago I was working at a PD in California. Some knuckle head left his radio at a convenience store, and some kid got a hold of it. A few days later, after we all forgot somebody lost their radio, some kid is on the radio yelling into the mic. He's telling us there is an officer down and he is using his radio to get help for him. We were all driving around for about 10 minutes listening to this kid telling us how our buddy was bleeding and he was dying. Scared the hell out of me. Finally somebody remembered the radio was stolen and we accounted for everybody via cellphones. A few days later there was a high speed chase that ended at a college. BG ran into a classroom full of kids with a baseball bat. Same damn kid got on the radio during that time and was just yelling as loud as he can into the mic. We had to shut them off. Luckily a janitor whooped the BG's ass inside the classroom before we got there (We gave him an award. It was awesome). After a few days the radio battery went dead, and he couldn't charge it. Before then it had never crossed my mind that you could render so many officers useless with a little trick like that.
  5. I actually went out and got a Blu Ray player just for Avatar. Great movie!
  6. I really hope this passes. Hopefully other states will catch on and start enforcing or writing similar laws. I've been in Tennessee for almost 6 years and in those 6 years I've seen a rapid increase in the number of illegal aliens. Unfortunately I think the problem has to be dire before anybody does anything.
  7. Yup, they had heaters. They had tons left in stock too, but they are pretty pricey. If you have time to order them online, check out MRE's, Military Meals Ready To Eat and more! Cheapest place I found them, and they have a good reputation.
  8. LOL! I thought you meant exit 109. Thank you anyway. I really appreciate it.
  9. That's very kind of you. I can always count on some kind people on TGO. That's a bit of a drive for me though. I was able to find some at Friedman's. Thanks a bunch for the information guys. I'm ready to rock!
  10. Do any of you know where I can buy MREs that come with heaters in or around Nashville? I was just told a few minutes ago about a camp out this Friday afternoon so I don't have as much time as I would like to prepare. Otherwise I would have just ordered them online. We would be fine with just taking sandwiches or junk food, but I would really enjoy a nice meal next to the fire. I won't be able to boil water, so I think the Mountain House stuff is out. And that is really all of the dehydrated food I can find around here. Any suggestions will be a huge help. Thanks!

    woot

I HATE Woot-offs. I end up staying up way too late. Anybody ever get a "Bag of Crap" yet? They always seem to appear right when I nod off.
  12. My favorite is Hero Gear. I've been treated really, really, well there. Weather I'm spending $30 or $3000 they take the time to talk to you. They have an amazing inventory, but it is a little out of the way for me. Worth it though. Almost tied for favorite would be Guns and Leather. Great prices, great inventory, good people there. My only complaint is that they are so good it is always packed, and it might take a bit to get some help, but never anything too bad. I've been to Guns and Leather 4 times and I've never left without buying a gun. I think they pump some kind of chemical into the air. Least favorite, and probably the worst customer experience I have ever had was at the Outpost armory. It was just one guy I dealt with, and he was probably having a bad day, or was stressed out, but I refuse to go back because of that one guy. It was that bad. Probably my loss, but oh well.
  13. The LMF II is a good quality, high value knife. The extras that come with it are pretty cool too. However, if money is not a restriction to you, I would definitely go with the RAT RC-5.
  14. It's called Decal Grip. I got it at G&L for 10 bucks. I would have just gone to a skateboard shop but seems those are rare here in Tennessee. I'm a little more confident drawing with my G26 now that it has the tape on there. I felt like I was going to drop it every time I drew my weapon. And I only put half of the pieces that come in the package, as your palm only touches one side or the other of the grip. Also, one of my biggest complaint about Glocks was the serrations, with the added grip tape it feels a lot better.
  15. The 4th gen shoots pretty nice. The interchangeable back-straps improve the feel of the handgun for me, as well as makes it easier to shoot. I have small hands and I have always stayed away from Glock for this reason. The new texture on the frame is a huge improvement over the 3rd generation. I know they didn't do anything to the trigger, but for some reason the G17's trigger feels better than my G26. No idea why. Perceived perhaps. And last, shoot-ability. The accuracy between the XDM and the new G17 is the same for me. No change in accuracy. I still suck.
  16. Two weeks ago I purchased my first Glock. I purchased a G26 for EDC. I liked it so much I went back and got a 4th generation G17 today. First picture is EDC setup.
  17. Let me finish cleaning my guns and I'll post them up.
  18. Purchased a new G17 4th edition at Guns and Leather today. It ain't pretty, but with the interchangeable back-straps it's a lot more comfortable than the 3rd generation. I shot the G17 just about the same as my XDM 9mm. The strange thing is that I actually shot my G26 more accurate than the XDM and the G17. I think it's that little uncomfortable bump on the end of the grip. Thanks for answering my questions guys!
  19. Yeah, I was never a one or the other kind of guy. It's just different flavors. That said, I love the XDM for the range, home defense, and maybe even during a disaster when I know things will get back to normal. I love the feel, trigger, and look. However my "go to war gun" is going to be a GLOCK. As soon as I cracked one open to check out the insides I knew I had been sold. It's just so plain and simple. And who doesn't like plain and simple during a SHTF situation?
  20. I've been a hardcore XD guy since I started purchasing guns. I never hated GLOCKS, but I just didn't like a lot of things about them. The trigger pull, ergonomics, serrations, and the damn company motto. Needless to say I would tease my buddies about owning GLOCKs. I've been looking for an XD sub compact for about 5 weeks and couldn't find one. I got so desperate I decided to just go for a G26. It was a last minute decision that I was afraid I was going to regret. I LOVE the gun. Hands down, most comfortable gun I have ever carried, and I've carried a few guns. I forget it's even there, and I love the fact that it's so comfortable that I don't even care about taking it off when I get home. GLOCKs started to grow on me after that, and now I'm looking to purchase my second GLOCK. I'm going to purchase a G17. I have a few questions for you guys. 1. Do you guys know any shop that is selling the new generation 4 G17s? Are they even out yet? I rather purchase from one of the vendors on the forums. 2. I've noticed that the recoil spring/rod assembly on the G26 doesn't stay put on the little half circle cut out on the barrel. Is that normal? I'm afraid I'm going to break the damn thing when I fire the gun.
  21. Nutnfancy did a review of Microtechs MSAR STG-556, go to about half way, the first half is Microtech knives. YouTube - Nutnfancy at SHOT Show: MICROTECH
  22. Ugh! I've been waiting for the ACR to come out for years, but I can't justify the cost. I'm so bummed out. Oh well.
