  1. The CVA Wolf is the best value in all of deer hunting. I bought one on a lark at Wal Mart when they were $99. It's all I've hunted with since, and you can't imagine how surprised I was with it's accuracy, good trigger, and ease of cleaning. You'll probably want some rings and a scope. You'll also need a dogbone type capper, and some shotgun primers. I like the 777 pellets for ease of use with powder charges. You can buy them in tubes, or in a larger box. Get some tubes and keep them to carry these in your pocket. The powerbelt bullets work great for me. I shoot the 295 grain green tipped ones and 2 50 grain 777 pellets.. My son has one like it, and it prefers the platinum bullets, and 2 60 grain 777 pellets. What's really cool about these is you don't have to shoot them to unload them. Just pull the breechplug and push the powder pellets and bullet out the breech end of the barrel. No cleaning necessary. The muzzleloader season is typically the peak of the rut here, and my absolute favorite time of year to deer hunt.
  2. I know which direction I'd go if it ever became an issue.
  3. In my country, the directorate of defense trade controls doesn't have the authority to make law, (congress does), nor do they have the authority to interpret law (the judicial branch does), so this means nothing to me.
  4. A couple of years back, I caught an 870 pump on sale at Dicks. There was an additional 20% off the sale price, and a $50 mail in rebate, so I took it home for under $200. You won't always stumble across a deal like that, but it does happen from time to time. You can't beat an 870 for simplicity and reliability. They had 12s and 20s for the same price. My only regret is that I didn't get one of each.
  5. Not really. Mostly classic Winchesters, Smith and Wessons, Colts, etc. While there are some milsurps there, they aren't the majority of the show. There are new guns there as well as reloading items, ammo, knives, etc. There are usually a couple of tables relating to mlsurp stuff however. A little bit of everything with a small town atmosphere. I usually find a few good deals.
  6. AMEN!!!!!!
  7. https://gunshowtrader.com/gun-shows/cave-city-gun-show/ October 8-9, according to this.
  8. Old guns, and yes, many private sellers.
  9. Similar, but better quality guns.
  10. Ya'll want to see what a quality, small town gun show looks like, drive up I-65 to Cave City, Kentucky sometime.
  11. It should be legal, and even accepted, to kick the gutter guy in the crotch each time one passes by him. ......and whoever rented him a table.
  12. I own more guns than I've seen at some of the Lebanon shows. Maybe this will change. The Hendersonville location used to have a good show. It's a shame there are no more there.
  13. I think #7 is a 25 Remington. Is #6 a wildcat, or a factory loaded cartridge?
  14. I'll tap out and let someone else have a crack at it. You've some interesting stuff there; especially if you have rifles to fire them all.
  15. #11=25-35 Winchester #12=270 Winchester
  16. That would make #8 a 22-250. #11=25-35 Winchester #12=270 Winchester

  19. I recently paid $575 for one a bit nicer at a gun show. Of course, I turned down a healthy profit on it before I left the show. They're pricey. Check "completed auctions" on gunbroker for comparison. I spent better than 20 years looking for a nice one at a decent price. It's yours; do what you want, but I think it foolish to even consider selling it.
  20. http://www.big5sportinggoods.com/store/brand/_/N-1z13y71 HK by Benchmade for $19.99. My order showed free shipping too! I know these are Chinese, but I believe they are pretty good knives for $20 a pop. Might make good Christmas gifts too.
  21. I picture a Colt Single Action Army under his truck seat, covered in sticky Mountain Dew residue, lint, and dust.
  22. The tea party ans most of the second amendment crowd don't protest. They get up and go to a JOB every day.
  23. Yes there would! Were there a group of angry nuns blocking the road in a threatening manner, I'd react the same way.
