http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/dead-man-with-cache-of-1200-guns-identified-he-was-just-a-loner/ar-AAdmkla ^Thanks for this report Captain Obvious.^ :ugh: It seems he's been identified. Looks like they are going to pull out all the stops to find something wrong simply because they didn't like the fact this guy had a large gun collection. -
Sure it does. The bible is the place where I got the idea to not cheat on my wife.
-
I took a vow 20 years ago to remain faithful to my wife until death do us part. It is a shame that in today's society most people's word is worthless. You can damn religion all you want, but the absence of it is the root of this country's downfall.

37 million members......wow! That's a lot of folks sweating right about now.

Gun shop owner declares store Muslim-free zone

Yeah, I get that. What if you refuse to sell to a broke guy? Isn't that discrimination as well? -

You care to expound upon this thought a bit? -

I guess that was my concern. If he'd had nothing but an old single barrel shotgun stashed behind the door, would they have hauled it off? -

Seriously. Do the police have the right to pack off someone's possessions without a reason to believe the were illegal? If I wake up dead tomorrow morning, I'd like my stuff to stay in place until my family decides to divvy it up amongst themselves. -
Of course. I thought we were talking strictly about the flag issue.
-
For overriding the flag code? :ugh:

Never too late. It is a hardwood herbicide. It'll kill thistles, wild roses, blackberries, small trees, etc. It does the job that Roundup just won't do. I think it only takes about a teaspoon to a gallon of water to do the trick. I mix a bit with my weedkiller to get what it doesn't. Works great.

I do not believe it is part of the flag code to lower the flag at the White House because a soldier or soldiers are killed while on duty. Although Bush is no longer president, and the nightly news doesn't begin each broadcast with a "death count" anymore, you guys do realize we still have troops fighting and being killed on a regular basis in Afghanistan as well as other places? If the flag was flown at half staff each time a service member died, I expect half staff would be the normal mode of flying. Please don't think I'm discounting the soldiers' lives. I'm not. I'm just saying that if you want to criticize our president, there is more than ample material to use without knitpicky stuff like this.

Under what authority do the police haul off the property of a deceased person? -
Crossbow. You can find it at your local CO-OP.

Gun bans coming to some social security recipients

Would that be $2000 per rifle? How many would I be allowed to turn each tax year? -
The thought has crossed my mind a few times lately as well. I hope I wouldn't need one stashed in the car or truck, but you never know.

Sort of like Gibson Guitar was "investigated"? I'm sorry, but I don't have a lot more faith in our government at this juncture than I do of terrorists. I sure wish this were not the case. How would you like to be "investigated" for some random post you posted here? You're heart is in the right place, but what you are proposing is scary to me.

Not if the barrel is less than 16". :D

You mean the flash hole that the flash travels through to ignite the powder and not the primer pocket where the primer sits, correct? If so, load it up and fire away. You may find the primer pockets a bit tight with Federal primers. CCI primers will solve that problem.

Gun bans coming to some social security recipients
gregintenn replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The ONLY thing the federal government can and should do to create jobs is to get the hell out of the way, eliminate most regulations, cooperate taxes, fees, licenses, etc., and let the economy thrive on it's own merit. Where the president stands on issues like the second amendment, abortion, et tal, is a good barometer of his character and morality or lack thereof. -
My concern is that this can easily be taken advantage of. I do agree something needs to change; I'm just not sure what exactly.

I felt like we agreed. Now I know. As it seems, the freeloaders now outnumber the producers. I see no rectifying the situation short of a government collapse and a new government installed. This won't be pretty.
