  1.                                     http://news.msn.com/us/rainbow-flag-painted-on-house-across-from-westboro-baptist-church Nothing could go wrong here, right?
  2. Wow! Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Maybe someone up that way can drop him off a laptop so he can stay in touch and maybe pass the time a bit better as soon as he feels like it.
  3. You are correct. Semi autos were looked upon as hard to train with, and more complex as well as less reliable than revolvers. If I remember correctly, there were a couple of incidents in the late 70's or early 80's where different police departments felt undergunned while trying to subdue the perps. Then, all that wnt out the window in favor of superior firepower. Just fads if you ask me.
  4. Give Graf a call. I would be amazed if they didn't make it right.
  5. So far, 1 round would have more than enough for me. Who knows what the future holds? It is a decision one must make for himself. Personally, if I truly thought there was going to be trouble somewhere, I wouldn't be there. If that weren't possible, I would have a rifle handy.
  6. LOL! We've derailed this train for sure!
  7. Buy the bullet puller. This may be the first time you need one, but it likely won't be the last. Kinetic bullet puller=the handloader's eraser.
  8. Oddly enough, I've spent a good deal of time pondering that very thing. I don't know about anyone else, but a big part of the attraction to women for me is because they smell good. I'm not sure I could go for a woman who hasn't bathed in forever. I suppose if you didn't know any different you didn't know any different, and hormones just take over.
  9. So far, I've really enjoyed the program. It makes me see things in a different light than I picture it while reading. For instance, I never considered Mary might have been hot!
  10.                               http://arts.nationalpost.com/2013/03/18/satans-resemblance-to-obama-in-history-channels-the-bible-nonsense-showrunners-say/   I don't know if anyone else here has been watching this show, but it is pretty interesting. Also, I can't imagine the similarity shown above was a coincidence.
  11. See if you can find some old 1899 Savages while up there.
  12.  Cheap Spanish Smith and Wesson knock off. Sometimes you'll also see knock offs from some far flung region in China. They'll have stampings with english letters, but in random order, not resembling words. Khyber Pass I believe is the Asian area. If you ever see one, the writing on them is quite comical.
  13. I use a little dab on my finger of whatever's in my grease gun in the toolbox.
  14. Been a while, but there's a small pawn shop in Westmoreland. During my one and only trip in there, I noticed a Krag, sporterized by Bubba, in the rack. The price tag appeared to say $250, so I asked to see it. As the young guy behind the counter handed it over, while explaining what a 30-40 was :ugh: , I noticed another zero on the tag I didn't see before..... :stunned: $2500 for a cut up Krag!!!! I gently handed it back, eased out the door, and stayed away from there since.
  15. ...get a rope!   I would sugest the O.P. watch the movie "Deliverance" before making his photographic journey here.
  16. Yeah...there's that.
  17. Of course. I've thought about this for years. They are a piece of sheet copper, stamped into shape, and filled with priming compound. Once set up. I'll bet the primers are cheaper to produce than to package.
  18. Sure. It is the perfect handgun, just as John Browning intended. As evidenced by it's popularity today, after being in production for over 100 years, there just isn't anything better.
  19. I've wondered what it would take to get started manufacturing primers. I can't see you running out of business...ever.
  20. I think you've gotten to the bottom of it. It's "for the children", right?
  21. New York??!!? Are you going to be taking the photos from an unmanned drone? :ugh: Best first post for a new member in recent memory.
  22. That was fun! Show us some more.
  23. #1 is a toss up between a 577 Snyder and a 58 U.S. Berdan Musket.   #2 11x52R aka 43 Beaumont.   #3 I'm sticking with 41 Swiss Veterli.   These are still all guesses at some really old, odd stuff.
  24. Good call! 41 Swiss Vetterli?
  25. The one on the left is well over 2" long. A 44 mag is 1.61" oal.
