  1. I guess that works for me then. Just a side note, you are more than welcome to wear a seatbelt in my vehicle if you please.
  2. It seems childish to order adult passengers who ride with you to wear a seatbelt. Would it be any different if you were riding with me and I would not allow you to buckle up?
  3. Well said. I would prefer to hear truthful statements like this rather than the hype the media drums into everyones' heads. Don't wear a seatbelt; you die. Eat a hamburger; you die. Smoke a cigarette; you die. I have no way to prove this, but I firmly believe that if everyone would simply pay attention while driving, it would save far more lives than seatbelts. My original intent in posting this is to illustrate that statistics can be manipulated to back whatever argument you choose to make.
  4. My wife rolled a car several times. The only injuries she suffered were a burnt, swollen face and black eye from the airbag, and a broken collar bone from the seatbelt. Could she have been ejected from the car and killed without it? Quite possibly. Could she have been unharmed without them? Quite possibly as well. I posted this as sort of a joke, but I guess I'm the only one who thought the title of the story was odd. After reading the responses, my point is: How do you know a seatbelt saved a life? I do not believe anyone can state with any certainty the outcome of a crash with versus without. I'm sure wearing a seatbelt is probably a good idea. After all, it's been beaten into your brain for years that it is, so it must be true.
  5. No doubt I'd be dead today if I wore one. I was hit in the driver's door hard enough to wrap the door around the steering wheel. I was sitting in the passenger's seat unharmed when the wreck was over. Couldn't have done that had I been strapped into the seat the Buik's front bumper occupied. It's no more a stretch than saying "seatbelts save thousands of lives".
  6. ....so 58% were wearing seatbelts? Sounds like seatbelts should be banned; not required. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2011-01-04-1Acopdeaths04_ST_N.htm
  7. That one is a 250-3000. I also have them in 300 Savage, 243 Winchester, and even 410 shotgun.
  8. Mr. Pincus, I would like to know your opinion of the success rate of Smith and Wesson revolvers.
  9. I wet the leather and insert the gun into place. I then mold the leather around the gun with my fingers. After that, I remove the gun, wipe the little bit of moisture off it, and stand the holster to dry, propped on an ink pen clamped into a vise.
  10. There....I fixed that for you. How bout we band together and shut the card game down?
  11. I believe in our Constitution. I've seen no evidence that either Obama nor Romney has any regard for it whatsoever. The same goes for the entire structure of both the Democrat and Republican parties. I do not intend to vote for socialism; neither the fast nor the slower acting version. I do not vote to be "on the winning side". If I get beat, and will, I still voted my beliefs. If you can't understand that, I'm not sure how to better explain it. If more people voted their true convictions, we could have some decent choices.
  12. If you guys agree with this article, and vote for Mitt Romney,or Barrack Hussein Obama, how do you not consider yourself a hypocrite?
  13. Suitable to me. I am voting my convictions. No one elses'.
  14. When the Rs submit a suitable nominee, I'll stand with them.
  15. I made one from a piece of deer antler. I think it looks pretty good.

  17. Yeah. The trouble, however, is that those idiots are in charge of our country!
  18. Screw Obama. Screw Romney. There will never be any change if everyone keeps the same attitude as the two posts above. I will vote my concience. Good luck to those of you who choose not to.
  19. It appears the Libertarian party picked my presidential candidate yesterday.
  20. Good looking Mauser at a great price! It will be a good shooter, or the basis for a fine custom rifle. Either way, you didn't go wrong.
  21. The delete button worked fine for the one I got.
