  1. LOL! As long as you don't start telling us how we should do things like they do in Chicago, we'll all get along fine. There was a girl who moved in down the road from me when I was a child who came from Michigan. She confessed to me that she was amazed to see that we actually wore shoes. I've never forgotten that. It struck me as funny.
  2. I like Shooting Times better than most. I'd really rather read the opinions of you guys here, as you all aren't bought and paid for by gun manufacturers. Just normal, everyday guys with honest opinions about outta the box guns in real world situations.
  3. Your wife won't get any happier about you dragging gun related paraphernalia in the house.
  4. It don't get any better.
  5. You are exactly right. DO NOT ever exceed the maximum load. If you need more, buy a bigger freaking gun!
  6. I like unique, and use it a lot. When loading for something where I need a very accurate powder charge, I throw each charge slightly light, and use a powder trickler to complete the charge to the desired weight. It takes a bit more time, but not as much as you think. I use this method for all my rifle rounds, as I like them as consistent as possible. Honestly, I'm not a good enough shot with a handgun to notice the difference.
  7. Unique is one of the least consistant powders I've tried.
  8. There are exceptions to every rule. I used to work with a guy from Michigan, and I consider him a very dear friend. The vast majority of northern immigrants I've encountered, however, fit my first post.
  9. Probably. Mine does pretty good with stick powder, very good with ball powder, and fair with flake powder. It's way closer then .3 grains, however. Did you run several charges through it to get rid of static electricity? You also need to bump it against the top and bottom of the stroke with the same amount of force every time. Not sure I've had one out more than .1.
  10. I like your Colt. I really like your holster.
  11. I found it very informative. All my life I've seen people move to Tennessee from northern states to escape all the hight taxes, high crime, expensive property, etc. After there here a short while, something inside them urges them to try and change Tennessee into exactly what they left. That's what I imagine he meant by the statement. Before we married, a northern couple moved next door to my wife's family farm. These people had never seen a tobacco plant. I wasn't but a couple of weeks before they were out there telling my in-laws how to raise tobacco. This is but one example out of many.
  12. LOL! I thought you could just shoot most anywhere in Memphis.
  13. Reagan was the last competent President.
  14. Looks like Michelle is sporting a camel toe at about the 1:00 mark.
  15. WOW! I'll just keep shooting at home. The only lady who yells at me there is my wife, and she only yells when supper is ready.
  16. You have to sift through some BS, but I've found many really, really good deals on there. Some I didn't find in time, some I did. I've had great luck selling on there as well. I've seen some pretty crazy prices here as well. I'm glad it's there, because I can't hardly stomach a gun show any more,. and used to rarely miss one.
  17. If you value your time at all, you will not save an appreciable amount of money by reloading. You will, however learn a lot about firearms and ammo, be able to have ammo you can't buy anywhere, and have a pretty neat hobby. The main reason I reload is to have ammo for certain calibers that I just can't buy. Since I already have the equipment handy, I load for the common calibers as well.
  18. $300-$350.

    My New Colt

There was a Talo Gold Cup in 38 Super on GOC last night. I thought about you, but it sold before the guy got back to me with a price. You didn't buy it did you?
  20. A threesome? Kinky!
  21. A while back, my boss called one of my co workers in his office and asked him about two tickets that came in the mail. They were for the truck assigned to this guy. He'd been turning right on red, but not coming to a complete stop before going. When asked about the tickets, he responded by saying: "just wait a few days and you'll have three. I just saw the S.O.B. flash on my way into the office just now!":D
  22. Yeah, that Colt is disgusting......better let me dispose of it for you.
  23. Oh my!!!!
  24. It's a beautiful place. I intend to take the kids camping there in the near future. I suggest you ride the train through the old mining town closeby in Stearns Kentucky. Well worth the trip in my opinion.
