  1. Although this addresses firearms specifically, it's really about the 10th amendment and keeping the federal government out of the state's business.
  2. The East, Central, and West plan sounds great. Let's make it a Saturday for those of us that would still have to make a drive.
  3. So, it looks like we all own a car manufaturer now. Did I hear correctly that we're going to give Government Motors another $30 billion dollars to help with the bankruptcy? I feel for those that work at the plants that are impacted. I suppose owning part of the company doesn't soften the blow. Best of luck to those in Spring Hill.
  4. Better be sure to use your turn signals, fasten your seatbelt, observe the speed limit, make lane to lane turns, stop behind the line, come to a complete stop at a stop sign, no texting while driving, make sure all of your lights work, have good tread on your tires, valid insurance, registration, and license, no obstructions in the windows, legal tint, and a quiet exhaust.
  5. I think I've got it now. It's like the vampire rule. If you invite them in, you can be bitten.
  6. Wow. I might be stuck in the 60s but peace and love everyone.
  7. We got to shoot my wife's new M4 Ops version yesterday. I can't give a true range report as the nearest range is over an hour away and we didn't make it to the range but we fired off a couple hundred rounds at a woodpile in my uncle's backyard. I mounted an Osprey holographic sight and did a quick laser boresight adjustment. We were shooting at about 100 ft. The Osprey dialed right in easily with a couple of tweeks and worked well. I say we but I only got to run through one 30 round magazine. Wife fired the rest. She didn't want to let go of it. She's in love. We were shooting at a small steel triple rotating taget of the walmart variety. She was nailing it flawlessly. First the left, then the center, then the right, then back to the left, and so on. We used both Remington and Federal bulk ammo. Had some duds with the Remingtons but that's pretty normal. The Federal preformed better. In summary, we both give it a thumbs up. Really fun to shoot. Groundhogs beware...there's a new sheriff in town. As a side note, I liked the Osprey so well for the price, I got one for my S&W Model 22A. Picked them up at the gun show in Morristown. They were selling them for $69 but I had seen them at OpticPlanet for $59 with free shipping and the guy at the show matched that price. Just like on the Colt, it dialed in easily and worked well.
  8. I believe in Israel everyone serves in the military and they have a ready reserve force. Do they, as a ready reserve, have weapons at hand?
  9. Welcome! Chicks with guns are hot!
  10. My new safe has a digital lock. It can be opened with a key that comes with it. Instructions included. You'll have to know how to get to where the key is inserted. Don't lock the key in the safe!
  11. I just bought a safe from Steelwater Safes. I shopped around quite a bit and found Steelwater to be a good balance between price and quality. The price included delivery to my door. I ordered it late on Friday and it was delivered the following Thursday and that's over the long holiday weekend. It's better built than those I've seen locally for twice the price. No regrets. It's worth a look: Steelwater Gun Safes Free Shipping on all Gun Safes No, I'm not a dealer or salesguy and don't get any kickback. I'm just happy with my purchase.
  12. 56FordGuy should be the president of the TGO debating team.
  13. Welcome!
  14. I don't think I layed blame on anyone but it doesn't appear that there has been any move in a direction that will get us out of this mess. We just keep digging deeper. Notice...again I use "we".
  15. Where's those lower taxes? If I missed something and my taxes have been lowered...oh, wait I do think I remember my paycheck increasing by about $4 every two weeks...I can't begin to imagine how that's going to help recover the billions we printed up to give to poorly run companies. Can I get a thank you if I'm paying your mortgage?
  16. Just got back from this show. I wouldn't waste my time unless there's something you've really got to have. Prices were sky high. A couple of examples: Wolf .223 $15 ($6 at the local gunshop), KelTec 3AT $369 - $400. I did see some Osprey International holographic sights that were pretty nice but I can get them $10 cheaper online at OpticsPlanet with free shipping.
  17. I guess we need the opinion of a laptop lawyer
  18. If there are any restaurants in east TN that have taken the same position as Boscos, and we want to set up something there, count me in.
  19. I guess I'm getting old. I still think of Leno as the new guy. I remember Jack Parr.
  20. The bolt holds open when you have an empty mag installed and pull back the charging handle. Remove the mag, pull the handle back again and it closes.
