  1. Submarine, loaded with hookers, beer & Big Macs. Mounted on a tank with wings on. And a WASP cannon. WASP is not an accronym, I really want a gun that shoots wasps. Seriously, how awesome would that be!
  2. If the S really ever does H the F, statistically speaking you're better off being 30-60lb overweight. A 6' tall, athletically built man can go about 3 days with no nutritional intake, with little or no side effects. A 6' tall man with a bit of a belly can go 4-5 days & will stay warmer......... Besides, fat people are harder to kidnap!
  3. On the bright side, at least somebody knows where the hell I am! Seriously though, why on earth would you think that anyone would be looking for you in the first place?
  4. That's a beautiful mount, Rebel. Was it done locally?
  5. Not with any hog I've come accross & I've hunted them in Texas, Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Namibia, South Africa & Spain. I'll take a week of hog hunting over a full season of deer. I love hog hunting! That kind of thing I have never, ever seen. OK, Their eyesight & hearing isn't perfect, but you simply cannot beat their noses. Wild hogs are very aware of what's going on around them & 99% of the time a wild hog will high-tail it as soon as it knows you're in the county. To see this behavior makes me think that it's a farm raised pig. That & the weight. Even in South America & Eastern Europe hogs rarely get to 400lb without man-supplied feed. Available forage simply isn't nutritional enough on it's own to let a hog get to that weight. Firstly I'd say that the film is of a free-ranging, farm raised hog & secondly I'd have to say (sorry y'all) that it died fairly quickly. Death ain't ever pretty & it's seldom as quick as you see on TV.
  6. Sooooo........anyone go? I only just remembered about it 5 minutes ago.
  7. KME Precision Knife Sharpening System (Works for many broadheads too) I've tried the all and this is the best I've ever used!
  8. I just spoke to Lou (the Owner) The sign, whilst a little ambiguous, is purely for folks bringing in guns for gunsmithing work or for sale. It saves someone getting shot accidentally. It's not there as a 'Posted' notice. Badly worded? Yes, but the Store has no problem whatsoever with their customers carrying while in there, concealed or not. So, next time you're in the area, feel free to strap on & drop in! (And don't forget to tell Lou, Don, Devin or Boo that English Rob sent you!)
  9. Hang on a minute.....just on the phone to them now to clarify. Back in a bit.
  10. Big Daddy's Outdoors, 5 minutes from I24 (exit 152) Just over the Alabama border in Bridgeport is a favorite. Not as tacticool as Hero Gear or The Outpost, but a really good allround sporting goods store, with friendly & helpful staff. It doesn't hurt that one of my best Buds is the Manager either!
  11. Cool buck WD! Boy, he's a biggun! I'm out the door again this afternoon to hang a couple more stands near the lake. A buddy & I scouted a small spit of woodland last weekend & bumped 26 deer outta there! We found a couple of huge scrapes & a rubline of 18 trees. We're maybe being a little coy, but we're gonna hang the stands today & the leave them for a week before we go back to hunt them. Hopefully they'll still be there. I've also got to go look at 115 acres that I may just have won permission on......wish me luck!
  12. There are no deer in Tennessee. It's official. Beautiful mornig to be out though
  13. Well, I'm out th door in 15 minutes. I don't have my .243 sighted in yet (It's still at Hero Gear getting the dodgy, unsafe, set-trigger fixed) & I only got my Bubba'd .303 back late last night from it's barrel circumcision (from 25-¼" down to 20") so that's no use to me either. Luckily, Ol' Painless (the .54 stink-stick) is more than up to the job. Hell, I can't see much past 100yds anyway! Good luck y'all! Take no prisoners, everyone comes back in a bag!
  14. Lunchtime drinking....... Just makes those boring afternoons fly right by!
  15. Here's a question; Which relationship shows the higher level of commitment? 1) A married couple with no kids, living in rented acommodation, 2) An unmarried couple with 2 kids, living in a property that is bought/mortgaged
  16. Tens of millions of Chinese, Thai, Malay, Japanese & Buddhists can't be wrong I'm convinced it's the hygeine thing. Parents are too quick to mollycoddle & cotton-wool wrap their kids. Let 'em play with dirt & eat worms & they'll grow up to be big & strong. Sanitize & wash them every five minutes & they'll grow up allergic to everything! As a thirty-something, when I was a kid no-one had ever heard of wheat/gluten/dairy/nut allergies etc.... These days it seems that there's an allergy for everything!
  17. I just thought of this whilst reading another thread. I don't hold a HCP, does that mean I cannot carry a loaded rifle into & out of the woods? I know wen I'm driving to & from the wood, I have to have the rifle & ammuniton in seperate compartments of the vehicle, but what about when I get out? I'm hunting TWRA land & public land, so would carrying a loaded rile constitute illegal carry? What about my muzzleloader? If it is indeed illegal, when does carrying constitute hunting? Would it mean that I can only hunt from a stand, or is still huntin & spot & stalk OK? Or am I just thinking a load of old bollocks?
  18. It's the 'Skwerlinator'! That's some ingeneous fabrication there.
  19. Hey, I don't care that you don't care that I think you're a prick, but I still think you're a prick
  20. And I'm sorry for you too....
  21. I don't know abouthe re-threading, but I've just dropped off my Lee Enfield at Hero Gear, to have the barrel shortened & re-crowned to 19" I was quoted 'roughly' $40 & 3 day turnaround. I have zero experience with anything like this, but it seemed very reasonable to me in both price & timeframe.
  22. Same as all the others, I would guess. Broken down, up on blocks & covered in fingerprints
