  1. Mossberg as the "accu-set" chokes that are a dream to interchange. Not sure if you were heading towards Remi or Mossi. I love my 500 Mossi that came with three interchangeable chokes with their system. HTH..
  2. Welcome!! Lots of good folks here!

    New Ruger LCP

I picked up the same thing at Bill's not two weeks or so ago! Yes, they are great guys! In fact, I grabbed the Ruger SR9c at the same time. They both shoot very nice--yes, to the play in the mag, although didn't seem out of the ordinary to me, either, as zj.. said. For me, it's the looooonnnngggg trigger pull that takes some gettin' used to. Hope you get to shoot it soon, and that it's fun for you as it was for me. Now, I'm wanting the LCR--it's addictive for sure!
  4. I've been using one of Uncle Mike's. Usually can fit 8-10 boxes of ammo, ear protection, glasses, all my mags, and with additional gun rugs, can fit 4-5 handguns as well. Uncle Mike's - Deluxe Range Bag

    Rule #23

Some of us measure our coffee intake in number of POTS per day, not cups! Fresh ground when I can, and even went so far as a Keurig at work so that it can be imbibed within 4 minutes of hitting the button. Now if I could only rig up an IV drip on one of those rolling stands like at hospitals, I could just "push" it all day long!
  6. Welcome!
  7. It didn't for me. The extra rds on the seat might be nice--you're right.
  8. I view the site occasionally. Truly funny stuff!
  9. Welcome!! It took me a year to get 5 guns!! Congrats and have fun!
  10. Ditto to Austin's and Bill's Outpost in Maryville (they are GREAT!). I have also used On Target off of Inskip--great guy! On Target Training Center, Inc. - Handgun Carry Permit Training - Knoxville, Tennessee
  11. I just got the LCP last week and took the 15 rd mag plus extra standard ones. I've used it only once at the range, and besides not having to reload after 6, which was convenient, it actually annoyed me trying to shoot from it. It's totally impractical even for practice. We'll never "carry" those, and it's funny that they put the finger stop at the bottom. I'll sell mine if anyone ever wants it, or will just use it to have fun at the range with it.
  12. Here's Ruby--15 month Golden Doodle. Mom is Golden Retriever and Dad is standard Poodle. MUST sit in my lap every morning while I drink my coffee, and during all thunderstorms! We got her due to my b-in-l and nephew's allergies. Think Mad Scientist Mother Nature, though, made her 95% poodle and 5% retriever--LOL!
  13. Hay right back at ya'! Welcome!
  14. Welcome, fellow K-townie!
  15. Welcome!
  16. Welcome from another K-towner!
  17. Known perhaps only in the sacred arena, but Philip Keaggy is pretty slick, too. Love Hendrix and all the others already mentioned, too.
  18. I hope you enjoy your "cowboy" shooter. I love my 45 LC one, and now want more and more and more. Funny thing, even with being heavy, at the range last night it was the only guy that I was puttin' 'em into 1-3 holes center. All my other toys were all over the place it seems. Hope you're accuracy will prove to be what you want with it. Enjoy!
  19. Welcome!! I'm also a college instructor and am always glad to hear that there might be other gun lovers and 2-A supporters besides myself amongst the Land of the Liberals! It's mighty lonely some days!! Ha ha!
  20. Doing the same things for Chrome. Don't know how to stop it for it except it does allow you to check a box saying you're aware of the risk and then takes you there. Kind of a pain. IE working fine.
  21. I only have one right now, but you've given me something to "shoot for". I love ' em, too. But I love semi-autos, too. Whoops, I love lever action, bolt action, AR, and shotguns, too. Now there's not enough $$ for ammo..... ;-)
  22. Although my first handgun purchase was a Glock 19, the "cowboy gun" came second and I take it to the range every time! Mine is the Heritage Rough Rider 45 Colt. Here she is in the 5.5" nickel. It's a ton of fun! Now I'm wanting to go grab all the ones that the rest of y'all have been mentioning!
