Ditto on BBill....being an ambassador (as well as helping someone be SAFE) does much good for shooting as well as 2A. There are many folks out there trying to get into shooting and guns and helpful folks sharing their knowledge and training is great!

When you get 'em in, I'll take 2 shirts and will take 2 hats off your hands....help to belay the frustration it gave ya'!

If the funds are available, buy, buy, buy...... Brick-n-mortar and Web when it's the right price. I think I'm still behind some of you guys, though!!!

I concur with the others... I live 5 minutes from the Cedar Bluff exit and it's a good place. I had family stay at Country Inn & Suites (might be near $100) and the Jameson (sp?) is nice (my employer puts people up there all the time while trying to save bucks). Good luck to you and your wife and her test!

And...in case you and your GF DO want to hit the range and practice, keep in mind that Coal Creek Armory has free time for ladies on Tuesdays, and you would go for half-price ($7.50). Note, I don't work there, just know they're great folks there!

I've got the 40 S&W and love it....it IS heavy but accurate like others have said. Did have a magazine drop out a couple times......never since then. Yes, I like my "higher quality" pieces better, but I just wanted one. Check out their forum if interested.... Hipoint Firearms Forums - Index

I just finished my CCW class a couple of weeks ago and seriously think there were several in the class, to some degree myself, that were doing just b/c of the current Administration and SCOTUS changes taking place. I thought the same as you--too inexperienced--but I did it anyway, after a 10-year hiatus from my only time at the range, and went once for practice again before my testing and did fine. I, too, am planning on doing more training classes as I want to get better and appreciate all the advice and comments of everyone here!

Great episode! Caught it at the hotel even though I was out of town! I'll admit to being a Glock lover but the ballistics and .50 were outstanding! And even though I'm very new to the world of shooting, I, too, noticed his finger being on the trigger a little too soon, right? Ha! Loved it, though!

Welcome! I used to do some fishing on Manatoulin Island...Kagawong. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been and the fishing was great!!! Hope you like it here as well!
