  1. Been shopping there for years. Also Graf & Sons and Midway USA. The Brown truck comes often to my house.

Gonna bump this back up with an important question. My wife is recoil sensitive. She can handle .38 wadcutters just fine. Will .45 "cowboy" loads be ok for her or should I look to another caliber? I'll be loading my own and we'll just be plinking/short range targets.
  3. I plan to get a SAA .45 Colt. My wife has arthritis and can shoot a .38 ok. Will the .45 "cowboy" loads be ok for her or should I get something smaller? I sometimes use bicycle racing gloves when shooting my PA-63. They have padding and no fingers.
  4. It's a pretty small discount. More of a gesture than a real deal maker. I really can't see why anyone would have a problem with that, but I guess it takes all kinds. Like you said, to each his own. He's not telling anyone to bend over, that's absurd. Nor is any company offering a discount for any reason to anyone.
  5. jaysouth said, "If you go out on the street and act stupid, expect to go to jail" Right or wrong, that about sums it up.
  6. The sign prohibits loaded guns, including HCP guns. I would be breaking the law if I carried in there. I did not enter the store.
  7. Again, he may not have a choice. If you don't wanna go there again, fine. But do you want to really form a posse and put him out of business, take food from his family? Staying concealed would have prevented this. A pawn shop in OR has a sign, I just obey it. It's his right whether I agree with it or not. Just my opinion. Just like some gun stores, you can have it, just keep it out of sight.
  8. :DLOL Heck, they are a good deal w/o the discount. I paid a little more per bullet going through Graf and Son's in order to get a smaller quantity.

Great feedback, this is what I wanted. I'm not going to going to do CAS, just plinking and reloading. And learning the SAA action and how it works. Anyone owned an EMF?
  10. I'm retired Navy. It was not just a job. Our servicemen give up freedoms unlike any other. You do 6 months at sea and tell me otherwise. Just a job indeed.

Thanks. I hear the Ruger is top notch, but I really want a Colt clone. I'd want an original if I were rich.

I’ve got the bug to own a SAA Colt Clone. What are you’re opinions on an affordable, but good quality SAA. Beretta / A. Uberti ,Cimarron, E.M.F., Navy Arms, or any other. The only thing I’m sure about is the caliber, .45 Colt. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
  13. Sorry, I've never seen the word allot before. Please continue.

Ouch...... The worst place to look for a mate is in a bar.
  15. Good idea to weigh your defense ammo and inspect for high primers, smooth case necks, ect.
  16. Are they the 9.95 a month people? I talked to GE/alarmzone and was turned off by the pushy sales and 3 year contract. I'll check out NCA. I'm leaning toward a DIY wireless and the 8.95 mo. at this website. Home Security Store | Home Security Camera | Wireless Security Systems
  17. Q. Why did he not just hand the officer an ID? A. Because he wanted to show his ass.
  18. Any single stack S&W. There was a 908 on here recently, but it was overpriced. Maybe a PARA LDA.
