  1. Merry Christmas everyone!
  2. This is our Yorkie, we love him as if he was one of our children. I would not like for anything to happen to him especially while he is by my side hurting NO one on his leash as the law in our town calls for. [Fixed it for you - Mars]
  3. Thanks all for the replys, like I said earlier I may have to try and get one when I can.
  4. Well, I posted this this morning before I went to bed, I work third shift, WOW I never thought about it causing so much controversy! My question was answered this a.m. by Tungsten and I went to sleep, I hate I missed out on all this action!!
  5. Yes to all those questions, so I get the picture, Thanks!
  6. What about if the dog is attacking my dog? Would I be legal in shooting then?
  7. I fondled one of these at Gander Mountain in Jackson Saturday and I really liked it! I am considering getting one when the funds are available and would like to here from some who own one.
  8. I had a situation this morning while walking my Yorkie. Some folks in my neighborhood like to let their dogs out in the morning and late at night, this morning I encountered two large dogs, they both gave us a good look and we them but thankfully they did not advance on us. OK, we go down the street and meet another neighbor who said he saw a man with a pit bull walking with him that was NOT on a leash. I go into full alert mode at that point expecting a pit bull to come charging me and my little yorkie at any time. This got me to thinking, if I had indeed been charged by this lose pit bull could I legally draw my handgun and shoot the dog if it was coming at us with teeth showing, growling etc.??
  9. I agree the list is a good guide with some if it being a little too paronoid. You have to pick the ones that will work for you. As far as taking risks go, I have always looked at it like this, GOD gave us a brain and he expects us to use it, we should not test GOD to see if he is ready for us to come home, he knows when it is our time and we will go then and only then. I will live my life to the fullest and be aware of my surroundings at all times and also be prepared to defend myself or my family till death if need be and if I die in so doing it must have been the time GOD wanted me to come home...

    Walther PPS

Go here: http://glockcarry.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=282&SearchTerms=walther,pps I like this guy and think he is pretty in depth with his report.
  11. I scored 39%! Man I had no idea that I was that close to being a mall ninja! Oh well...
  12. Welcome from a close neighbor! I was just in Jackson today, shopping with the wife..
  13. I got a good laugh out of this!!! That is one of the best commercials I have seen lately!
  14. Sounds good to me! I may have to make a road trip before long to come see what yall have and talk ftf with you guys.
  15. Alright, now you are really explaining it to me so I can better understand the rules! I see herogear has a nice SBR on the gunbroker site right now, if I were to bid on this rifle once purchased could I just come to your location and fill out all the paperwork and pay the fees to finalize the deal, or will I need to find a FFL here that you would have to ship it to??
  16. I have never purchased an EBR, or SBR before so I have no knowledge of the laws, that is why I am asking, I am not trying to be a "cheap ass" although I don't see the need to spend money I don't have to since I am not filthy rich. Thank you for your information on this subject. So what you are saying is I can buy the rifle first and then change it legally to a pistol?
  17. OK all, thanks for the quick responses, based on what you have told me then I can buy one of these, http://www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=AR2115X&storeid=1ℑ=larp22307.gif&CFID=5982623&CFTOKEN=79574532 most likely the 7" barreled version, along with all the appropriate paperwork to go along with it and then I can purchase a 16" barrel and collapsible stock and put on it and it should be perfectly legal in either set up I choose to use it, right?? Oh yea, you guys are cracking me up with the goat love stories!!
  18. I am lookiong to buy myself an AR15 in the near future, I have been pondering the idea of buying a pistol model and then buying a rifle barrel and collapsible stock later to make my pistol into a rifle so I can have two guns in one basically. Is it legal to do this? I figured it would more than likely be legal to do it this way rather than the other way around, that is buy a rifle and then convert it to a pistol.
  19. Welcome Protex! As the others have already told you there is much to be learned on this forum, glad to have you!
  20. If you go to the TWRA site and look at the hunting guide you should find the info you need there, although there is quite a bit to read about Cherokee. Scroll down to pages 64 and 65 of the hunting guide and read all about it. http://state.tn.us/twra/pdfs/huntguide.pdf
  21. I would think at that point the azz kicking was over and the killing had begun if he was being choked, at that point he feared for his life so he should have been justified in the shooting...
