    M1A Bullpup!

Worked at Barrett for 12 years. Then Serbu firearms for 3 years.

    M1A Bullpup!

That does factor all those in. I worked in firearms manufacturing for close to 14 years. After seeing what it takes to bring a product to market and the resulting markup, I can tell you for certainty they don't have over 4 bills in it.
  3. Savage or Remington .223 for the win. I have a Rem700 in .223 that I handload for and it will hit groundhogs out to 500yds easily.

You can run aluminum fast as hell in a CNC. particularly a fourth axis machine. Which this most likely is. Bore it to get it on a center, stick it in a fourth axis machine and set to hauling ass. Aluminum runs quick. Rough it out then run a finishing pass. Mark it up about 300% as typical in the firearms industry and you are done. So if it is $1275 MSRP, it costs about $300 tops to make. Thats tops.
  5. Gov't model 1911 Glock 17 have others I wouldn't sell either, but you said 2
  6. I have a 45 round Bulgarian mag for my ak74 that is pretty close to the same thing. Functions pretty well. Wouldn't bet my life on it though. If magpul brings it to market it will be a 100% functioning product. I love my magpul products.

    S&W MP15-22 Magpul

Been eyeing one of the SW 22's for awhile now. I've been shooting a VZ22 upper on one of my lowers for a bit. But now that SW came out with a dedicated rifle, I really want one.
  8. I just run plain old Break Free in mine. Give it a spray before shooting and forget about it. Haven't cleaned either of the M4geries in about 2000 rounds through either one. One of them has a TNW piston kit in it and runs lime a champ.
  9. I'm buying the missus a Bersa Thunder 380CC. She shot her fathers Bersa and loved it. I have a bunch of Blazer that I bought when it was like $4 or $5 a box. I must have 2 50cal cans full of it . I have a Femaru M37 I used to shoot a lot. .380 is out there. It's hard to find here in Knoxville because of the hoarders.
  10. $2450 for a piston AR....... Barrett puts out some nice gear but, I put an Adams Arms piston kit in one of my M4 rifles and have $1200 in the rifle, total. $2450? No thanks. They have been smoking the crack pipe.
  11. Just go here for all your 5.56 and .223 ammo questions.. The AR15.com Ammo Oracle
  12. You have a 1-7" twist barrel. You can shoot the heavier bullets such as the 77 grain bullets and they will stabilize just fine. You can shoot the lighter bullets also, just the heavier stuff will stabilize. You will pay a premium for the heavier bullet ammo but it is worth it. Yes, you can fire .223 ammo through it no problem

    9mm AR15

I have an Olympic 9mm conversion. I love it. Uses Sten mags.
  14. I have a Rem 700 ADL chambered in .17 Rem Great little cartridge. Whacked everything from groundhogs to crows. I handload 25 grain Berger molycoat hollow points for it. They step out of the barrel at 4050fps. They warm the barrel up pretty quickly. I never shoot it past 200 yards. It gives up velocity pretty quickly past that range with that light a projectile.

    A 54R AK?

To get the accuracy out of one of those you need to find the Czech silver tip ammo. The AP ammo makes those shine in the accuracy department.

    double star

DoubleStar AR's are fine rifles. You can't go wrong with one.
  18. Saw a guy get busted at a Nashville show for trying to steal a little Bersa .380 back about 10 or 12 years ago. Dealer caught him red handed. Reached across the table as the guy was putting the pistol in his pocket. I was standing right next to him as it happened. The dealer had the guy by the arm and had a death grip on it. The look of shear terror on his face was priceless as he was trying to get away.

    Remington 788

I've had a few over the years. My favorite was a 30-30. Yep you read it right. I was offered a 44 Mag 788 at a gun show once for $250 and I didn't take it because it didn't have a mag. The mags for the 44's are really hard, read that impossible to find. I had a 308 that whacked a bunch of deer. I gave it to my cousin years ago. He still has it.
  20. Where do you Knoxville people shoot at? I usually go to Norris. Sometimes during crappy weather I shoot my handguns at CCA. Do any of you shoot at Rifle Range Road? Never been there.
  21. This site could use a "Pay it forward" forum. We have one on numerous paintball forums. Post up what you have as free to a good home. Works great.

    PMags Questions

You have to see if the bullets are behaving.
  23. Sometimes you can come into a really good deal. You just have to be in the right place at the right time. I bought a Marlin 30 30 for $175 from a guy walking around. It had maybe 20% of the finish left. I parkerized it and still have it. Found a Marlin 1894S in 44 Mag a few years ago. Cracked butt stock. New butt stock from Numrich for $10 and it is good as new. Bought the 44 for $100.
  24. You need a certain burn rate powder to run a Garand. The gas port pressure has to be on the downside of the pressure curve or serious damage to the op rod will occuer.
  25. 1894S in 44 Mag here. Love that rifle. Bought it for very little back some years ago.
