  1. AR's run great on 30wt motor oil. Metal is metal. Friction is friction.
  2. WD40: Water Displacement formula 40. Thats where the name comes from. I think the fish oil rumors are true. It has it's uses.
  3. The last Factory armorer class I attended a rep said that the slide "gills" were an issue argued between the Austrian designers and the America designers. The gills offered more bite for charging the pistol when turned 180 deg which is what the Americans argued. Austrians thought they looked better the way they are now. We all see who won the argument.
  4. Lots of good deals online but the transfer fees always kill the deal for me.
  5. I don't remember the model just Galco w/ a leather holster and neoprene cuff.
  6. I've seen a few Spikes Tactical lowers at Guns & Leather in Greenbrier. Not sure what the price on them is.
  7. I've carried a G27 on my ankle daily for the last 13yrs. I've used a Galco leather rig w/neoprene band for the last 11. It's never failed me. The only time I notice it is when I'm not wearing it. It gets hot in the summer with the "sheep's wool" padding on the back of the holster & the neoprene but I feel it's worth it. Like anything else if you don't train with it you won't become proficient in it's use.
  8. Try here: http://www.tennesseecrimeonline.com/tibrspublic2005/View/RSReport.aspx Beyond 20/20 Perspective - Reports Thats for TN 2009. Takes a while to compile the info.
  9. You can't just shoot them on sight, although it would be easier. Only if the livestock are in immanent danger of death from the dogs can you kill them. If one of them is a black malti-poo hollar at me first, I'm just down the road from you. The bold type section below applies to what your asking. 39-14-205. Intentional killing of animal. — (a) (1) (A) It is an offense to knowingly and unlawfully kill the animal of another without the owner's effective consent. ( A violation of subdivision (a)(1)(A) is theft of property, graded according to the value of the animal, and punished in accordance with § 39-14-105. (2) In determining the value of a police dog, fire dog, search and rescue dog, service animal or police horse under § 39-14-105, the court shall consider the value of the police dog, fire dog, search and rescue dog, service animal or police horse as both the cost of the animal and any specialized training the animal received. ( A person is justified in killing the animal of another if the person acted under a reasonable belief that the animal was creating an imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury to that person or another or an imminent danger of death to an animal owned by that person. A person is not justified in killing the animal of another if at the time of the killing the person is trespassing upon the property of the owner of the animal. The justification for killing the animal of another authorized by this subsection ( shall not apply to a person who, while engaging in or attempting to escape from criminal conduct, kills a police dog that is acting in its official capacity. In that case the provisions of subsection (a) shall apply to the person. [Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 1; 1996, ch. 927, §§ 1, 2; 2004, ch. 957, § 1; 2007, ch. 466, § 1; 2008, ch. 1172, § 1.]

  11. Sam's Club. No windows, roll up metal doors. Food, water & a pharmacy . Loading docks to back a truck up to. Good Rooftop, Gasoline near by. Tools in the service area. Not sure if there's a generator on site.

  16. Great AK's. Solid guns. Have heavier barrels & thicker receivers than most other stamped AK's. $700 is too much though.
  17. The entire area looks to be surrounded by a chain link fence. How about securing the gate for starters?
  18. I came across a good deal on Beretta 92 mags a while back so it made sense for me to pick up a Storm. For what it is, i like it. Needed a 9mm anyways.
  19. I checked it out last night. Waaaylighter than the 16" semi version even with the can screwed on . This model could be useful.
  20. You'll really have a great experience there. The owner & staff are awesome.
  21. Used to work with a guy who had an old rusty box of pistol parts in his tool box. I asked him about it one day. He told me he had intended to repair the pistol but lost interest years ago. He gave me the box of parts and after examining them I had a 1975 Ruger MKI w/ 6 7/8" tapered target barrel. I contacted Ruger about replacement parts and was told to send it to them for reconditioning. $30 for re-blueing , $6 for shipping and a 30 day wait, I had a brand new MKI pistol. *just realized this post was for long guns- thats why I'm a nOOb*
  22. Id heard good things about this site . I'm def not disappointed. Lots of great info!
