There are two on the books. 55-4-406 55-4-408

Thank you, I for one appreciate you doing this the right way.

x2 on Primary Arms. Won't break the bank and a really decent optic for the money.
-
For not a lot of money check out DSArms for a complete lower and upper for less than you can buy a complete rifle in most cases. they make a pretty good product and you won't have to invest in any tools up front. I've used their parts on a few builds and got good results. It'll provide a good base to improve on later.

What are the most annoying commercial on radio and tv
johnnychimpo replied to runningfree's topic in General Chat
Any of the jewelry commercials. Particularly Shaneco & Jarrod. Instant channel switch. -
Pakistani 9mm. This stuff is made by 10yr olds who measure the charge with a coffee scoop.

I had confidence in my handguns reliability before I fired 2K rds through it. Unforeseen problems caused by ammunition, magazines & the conditions it's operating in are the reason I train to clear malfunctions.

Troy makes good sights. They have a new fixed model that's a lot less expensive.

I like a chrome lined 1-7" with a mid-length gas system in a 16".

It sounds like the slide stop spring wasn't replaced correctly. Check to see that the spring leg is properly seated under the locking block pin. If the leg is on top or in front of this pin it will push up on the slide stop instead of pushing down like it's supposed too locking the slide back after every shot. Make sure the spring isn't too mangled to be useable.

Too late. You've already done that.

Thanks for the reply. I'll PM him. -
I need to contact him about a transaction and haven't had any luck by email or PM. If anyone knows him personally and can get a hold of him it'd be appreciated. Could be that he's on vacation maybe.

I just realized how old it is. Not sure how I dug it up. I think my Tapatalk needs updating.

Here is all I could find on TDOC carrying firearms: 4-3-609. Exercise of police powers by employees. (a) Those employees of the department of correction as the commissioner shall designate who have been trained in the use of firearms are vested with the powers and authority of peace officers, including the power to carry weapons, and shall exercise such powers and authority only: (1) While on the grounds of the institutions under the supervision of the department; (2) While transporting inmates between institutions; (3) While pursuing escapees from such institutions; or (4) While aiding local law enforcement officials in the search and apprehension of escapees. ( (1) Subject to the written directive of the commissioner, persons employed by the department of correction as an internal affairs special agent or as an internal affairs director who have successfully completed firearms qualification training shall have the authority to carry weapons for the purposes of their offices and while in the performance of their assigned duties, including, but not limited to, conducting authorized investigations and assisting federal, state and local law enforcement in matters relating to the duties and responsibilities of the department. The required firearms qualification training for internal affairs agents and directors shall include, at a minimum, forty (40) hours initial training and eight (8) hours annual in-service training in firearms qualification administered by an instructor with certification from the Tennessee correction academy's firearms instructor program or from a police firearms instructor training program conducted or sanctioned by the federal bureau of investigation or the National Rifle Association. Successful completion of training shall include demonstration of proficiency of at least seventy percent (70%) both during day and darkness on all weapons issued or authorized by the department of correction, and proficiency of at least seventy percent (70%) on a stress-exertion course, both day and night, which has a laterally moving target. (2) Persons employed by the department of correction as internal affairs special agents or as an internal affairs director shall have the full power to administer oaths and take oral and written statements. © The commissioner shall also establish internal procedures concerning appropriate exercise of the powers vested by this section. Acts 1980, ch. 485, § 1; 1985, ch. 10, § 1; 2002, ch. 525, § 1; 2009, ch. 191, § 1.

[quote name=Todd@CIS;517482Make sure and take a look at newer case law. Although this is a different court district' date=' we're incorporating this ruling and I would think it should at least be researched for your project. Federal judge rules police cannot detain people for openly carrying guns The article says New Mexico does not require a license for open carry. And ""[r]elying on well-defined Supreme Court precedent, the Tenth Circuit and its sister courts have consistently held that officers may not seize or search an individual without a specific, legitimate reason." In TN your required to have a HCP in order to carry a handgun.

Once shots are fired and/or someone is killed the area becomes a crime scene. Starting at the pawn shop and throughout the entire area where the pursuit of the suspect took place. Ending where the suspect was taken into custody. The crime scene could easily occupy the entire city block. Everything would be photographed and then logged into evidence (shell casings, blood splatter, etc.) every round fired will be traced from the point of impact back to where it was fired from. The entire event will be carefully reconstructed. This in part due to the unwillingness of suspects to give a confession. Without this time and manpower intensive investigation there is a greater chance of losing the case. Home invasions are typically contained inside a home where the crime scene is easier to control. The lack of outside intrusion and the weather destroying the scene are greatly reduced. So, yeah there were probably 20 cops there after the initial response collecting evidence and processing the scene. I'm betting 2 or 3 were dispatched to the initial armed robbery call. Had there not been a homicide then I'm sure it wouldn't have been this dramatic. On the other hand, if Colorado had denied this scumbag parole then you wouldn't be complaining.

Reposted from Police One .com Taking Training to the Next Level with Ed Flosi April 01, 2011 Calif. city to eliminate all police use of force Editor’s Note: Before you go writing me or the author of this column any angry emails, please note the date of publication — April 1, 2011. Now, enjoy a chortle or a chuckle courtesy of the PoliceOne Editorial Team. Happy April Fool’s Day! In response to a special interest group’s claim of police officers using excessive force in arrest situations, one city in California has developed a new strategy to help eliminate the need for officers to use force at all. One members of the group “Defy and Resist” told PoliceOne that officers should never use force simply because a person is exercising their “rights.” When asked to explain which right he was referring to, that member became suddenly confused. The man then became agitated and could only shout, “I know my rights” over and over again until he lost consciousness. Eventually another member suggested that officers should respect their rights to physically resist any attempts to take them into custody as an expression of free speech. Mayor Bud Toker of Greenleaf (Calif.) proudly announced his new plan at a news conference today stating, “Admittedly neither the leaders of ‘Defy and Resist’ nor I am an expert in police practices or the legal system, but since I am the boss I can make the rules.” Toker stated also that being arrested is an inconvenience and that he feels there should be a more customer friendly alternative. Under the new rules, if an officer meets “any resistance to arrest by (1) physical action, (2) stated intent to physically resist, or (3) general feelings of unhappiness regarding the arrest” the officer will immediately disengage and tell the subject that he/she will not be arrested today. The officer will then schedule a more convenient time for the arrest with the subject. Toker is confident that his new plan will not only ingratiate himself with the special interest group but will also significantly lower the frequency of complaints about use of force. Proudly pointing to his risk management approach, Toker proclaimed, “How can there be a complaint about force if the officers are not allowed to use force?” “This is a couple of days late but good none the less”

He just served 8yrs on a 20yr sentence for another armed robbery. Someone thought it was a good idea to parole him.

Maybe he'll run for Governor.
