The Answer Is *NOT* Thug Tactics
Semiauto replied to TGO David's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This is the problem. You cannot expect someone that pays no taxes and receives the fruits of another's labor to be swayed to Constitutionalism. If I get to eat on your dime, why would I vote for someone that will take my free meal away? We should be discussing how to remove the liberal voter, because THEY are the problem. The land-owner requirement to vote was a great tool to remove the chaff. -

I don't care to discuss it in a public forum. -

Gentlemen, may your chains rest lightly upon thee. -
Washington DC is, indeed, the anus of America.

I don't want to give you legal advice, but the Willmaker software guides you through these questions. I have a revocable living trust that I have my wife, father, sister (in that order) as trustees in case I die. The trust is set up for my kids. Buy the software, and if you don't like the trust part, at least you can make a legal will with it.
-
Don't get me wrong, lawyers provide a good service and I'm not recommending you do one or the other. In TN, you do not have to file your Trust with the county courthouse. In some states, you do and it becomes public record. Your Trust must be notarized to be legal and it must be filled out correctly and signed. Every time I buy an NFA item, I send the Trust and Schedules in with the application for transfer. That way I know the ATF has seen the Trust and approved it, and it limits my liability in case they get a wild hair. It would be hard for them to say my Trust is invalid if they have approved multiple transfers after having seen it.

I have purchased suppressors and machine guns. Never once did I have a CLEO sign off on the purchase. I advised him of the purchases after the fact in hope he would keep an eye out on the place. You may be confusing CLEO sign off on a FFL.

I used Quicken Willmaker software and have purchased 6 NFA items so far. Costs about $60 plus notary fee, if applicable. See what the lawyer charges and go with your gut.

Let's see, if not for him Van Jones and Valerie Quinn would still be in the White House. If not for him, the tea parties would have been much less successful. If not for him, the ACORN and SEIU influence would not be discussed. He's an alarm clock on our national debt and correctly called Bush out on all his spending. He's pro 2A and state's rights. He calls union thugs, union thugs. I guess if don't agree with the above, you might find him an idiot. Careful though, the refection in the idiot mirror might scare you.

The post office is unionized, if that helps answer any questions about profitability. I refuse to use UPS because of their Teamsters affiliation.

It would be impossible for me to use too many pejoratives in describing labor unions. When I was a 1st LT in charge of a motor pool at Ft. Knox, I caught one of the civilian mechanics sleeping on the job. This guy had to be brought to work because of a "couple" DUI's on post and could not drive. He immediately showed up with his union rep demanding leniency and, according to union rules, I had to give it to him. I transferred his lazy butt to another unit, which is typical in that some poor other guy got this useless human. It's a sad, revolving door that usually ends at retirement.

Very nice! I bet it shoots great. If you don't mid me asking, how much did it set you back? The prices seem to be falling with the adequate supply. There is one on Sturm for $2500. Enjoy it!

Please Enlighten Me about the Constitution.
Semiauto replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm not defending the republicans. I am a Constitutionalist, so any Federal spending on education is not legal. I would favor cutting any spending not specifically authorized by the Constitution. The fact is the republicans presented a balanced budget cutting billions from these Federal programs. Clinton vetoed it because he did not like the cuts. Typical politics. My bias is the Constitution. -

His attitude was that he wanted what he wanted in the budget and did not want the republicans to have what they wanted. They caved to him when they should have held firm. He made the unemployed government workers feel it was the rebulican's fault and then repaid them for their lost wages during the shutdown. He is a narcissist and behaves as such. Give him what he wants and he might give a little back to you. BTW, please do not quote CNN as a news source to me. I believe them about as much as Pravda. If you would have read the CNN report, you would have noticed the republican's budget was balanced, but Clinton did not like the cuts to all the social programs they were wanting to implement. CNN presented the report siding with Clinton that the cuts would be painful. One of the cuts, as I remember, was about 90 billion from Medicare. The dems launched into "save the grandma" mode and were successful in having it dropped. Now they are wanting a $500 billion cut to Medicare this year and since they are presenting it, it is ok because of all the "waste". If there is waste, how 'bout taking care of that about right now?? -

Having lived through the Clinton era, I can say that he did not try to balance the budget. The first things he did was "don't ask, don't tell", raise taxes after he promised he would not, and put his b_tch wife in charge of single pay healthcare. The revolution of 1994 swept Newt into power and Bill went racing towards the center. The only savings came directly from the BRAC process. Hardly a legacy of note, unless you include the blue dress. -

The 16th Amendment to the Constitution, ratified April 8, 1913: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." The argument against income taxes ended with our great-grandparents. FWIW, the argument at the time was that only the top 1% would pay it. -
This is the selfishness that destroyed Rome and Greece. Doing nothing is easy when other folks pay the bills.

All the taxpayers should up their claimed dependents and send a big "up yours" to Sacremento.
