  1. Thanks for your service!
  2. No first hand experience. But they sure have the reputation of being one of the best/ if not the best long range rifle builders in the country. If you decide to go with the .338LM you will want to reload. It is expensive either way, just a little less if you are rolling your own. I am waiting on a .338LM now myself.
  3. There are C&R machine guns. I havent seen any AK's, but there are some Thompsons and early beltfeds. C&R machine guns bring a big premium.
  4. Nothing would make the majority of MNPD officers more happy than to see him leave.
  5. Lol ok man. If you didnt know, this whole argument is based on opinions. It is in you opinion that a 1911 is too difficult for you to shoot and maintain. It is in Mr. Givens opinion that a 1911 is exepnsive to maintain. And it is in my opinion that a 1911 and a striker are the same for me to shoot and maintain. It is very aparent that you are not going to change your beliefs, and the same can be said for myself. I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
  6. . . .My life is worth the extra expense/effort." Tom Givens This one?
  7. Your oil changing example above is apples to oranges. Saying someone should change their oil is alot different that saying how hard is to actually change it yourself. Any person can tell you need to change it, but you cant tell me how hard it is to do until you have actually done it. The degree of difficulty depends on the individual person.
  8. He is probably still in bed nursing his hangover.
  9. I can clean my 1911's just as fast as I can my Glocks. It dosent take a highly trained person to keep a 1911 in running order. It is not easier or harder to keep a 1911 running than it is a Glock, HK, XD, or Sig, it is just different. I kinda think it does because you havent physically worked on one. Just because you read that it takes more time and effort dosent mean it would be that way for you. Thats like me telling you it takes too long to change the oil in my truck for me to do it, so you shouldnt either. But in reality it may only take you 10 minutes and is a very easy job. By the way I'm not a fan boy for either gun. I have just as many striker guns as I do 1911's.
  10. Any proof that they have changed? Any reasons why they would change? I dont see a gun that has worked for at least 15 years (in Delta, that I know of) just start having so many problems that they decide to give up on it and change.
  11. The rear is off a HK 416. The front one is a Troy.
  12. Taken from Larry Vickers website. He is a 15 year Vet. of 1st SFOD-D. Larry Vickers | 1911 Pistolsmith | Custom 1911 | Vickers 1911 | "I was also fortunate to be in a Unit where more .45 ACP ammo is shot out of 1911 style pistols than any other place in the world; the ultimate test bed. I learned alot in the 15 years I was at 1st SFOD-Delta about what it takes to make a 1911 work reliably and how to keep it running. I also want to thank the individuals who work in the arms room at the Unit; they will remain nameless but I learned alot from them on making a 1911 run."
  13. Looks like a pretty bad line of storms headed toward middle TN. Weather people just said it would be in Nashville in about an hour.
  14. Nice collection. Now you need some Smith .45's and 10mm's to round out that collection.
  15. WTF is wrong with people? Do you think that they are heartless and just dont care or are they so absorbed in their texting and emails that they couldnt take the time away to at least call 911? Stories like this make me sick to my stomach and sad for what our country is comming to.

    Breaking News

It is pretty simple, go somewhere else. TGO, its vendors, or its members dont want you here. And I am pretty sure the vendors dont want a customer like you either. Grow the **** up.
  17. Crackers maybe?
  18. +1
  19. Joe, what kind of stock is on the top MP5? I kinda looks like a .308 HK since the "butstock" in curved opposite to the other A3's I have seen and the rails look too long for it to slide in all the way. I noticed it the other day and was curious.
  20. They don't allow .50 BMG.
  21. Not BMG. Maybe the .500 S&W or the .50AE.
  22. I agree that a mil-spec shouldnt cost over $600-$750, but the TRS isnt mil-spec. It is a hand fitted custom. Here is the info on it. Les Baer Custom Inc.
  23. Suh proved in the combine and pre draft workouts what everyone already knew. He is the best player in the draft. IMO the QB class isnt great and neither is the WR class. Theres no telling who the Titans will pick. They do some weird stuff on draft day. Some turn out good (Chris Johnson) and some not so good (Pac Man Jones).
  24. The one Willis68 is talking about mud testing is a $1900+ pistol. Most guys who buy the high dollar 1911's actually use them.
